article writing

I have a small service website here carpet cleaning Atascadero and I wanted to begin writing some articles to promote it, but I don't really know the first thing about it. I can produce some decent content, but I don't know were I should post the articles.

Any help I can get is fantastic, this forum has been a HUGE help to me for the last couple of days and I really appreciate it.

You can Submit your Articles in Several Free and Useful article directories, you can also submit your articles shorter versions to web 2.0 and blogging sites!!

You may start publish articles on various high quality article directories and Web 2.0 properties like Ezine Articles, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. You may also try free press release sites like the PRLog, it may help you get search engine traffic as well.

After producing decent contents or article writing. You need to find article submission list. Which is easily available on internet, only you have to search it. Many online community members have upload huge list of article submission website. After finding this list you only need to submit the articles..

I would prefer to use an outside blog to post the content because my site is service oriented, i don't want it to look spammy.

alright, i found a good aritcle directory site (sooperarticles) my problem now is that the html i usually use to add link to anchor text won't work there, any ideas? they say they allow
<a href> but it wont link?
