Hotels Site Challenge?

Hey everyone okay so.........

I've made a hotel site a while back because I researched the keywords, and also the amount of money you get per click (adsense). I kind of stopped because truth is I used some program called "Stealth keyword analyzer" (which I'm realizing is complete BS), and it tracked all those keywords as "amazing."

Then I used my companies program "market samurai" which I feel like it provides better value than Stealth keyword and realized my top 10 competitors.

Anyways the top 10 sites all had a lot of backlink distributions, and they're all credible companies like "holidayinn.com" or "tripadivsor.com" any other particular hotel name.com with PR 3-7.


However, all these sites have NO on-page SEO. The KW is nowhere to be found, H1 H2 H3, Title, description, etc.

Therefore, if I used the right backlinking strategy, be consistent with it, make sure my onpage is up to par......will it be possible to be on the first page?

Or should I tell myself - "Not worth it, move on?"

My biggest issue is if I'm going to have spend a lot of $$ on backlinks just to be on the top page. As far as spending a lot of time on it, that shouldn't be a problem.

Don't wast money to building backlinks, please keep some passion and do continually effort.

Woah woah woah. I didn't know that spending money means there's no passion involved. I've been doing internet marketing for almost a year now, night in and night out. The moment I wake up all I do is internet marketing. When I'm working out I think about internet marketing. When I'm talking to my gf all I think about is internet marketing. I sacrifice my sleep to do further on research with internet marketing. I quit my 9-5 to do this. I CONTINUALLY do effort, and I'm only getting better at it every day. For you to say "please keep some passion and do continually effort" is an insult. You don't know me, and all I asked was for some suggestions.

Now why don't you tell me why it's a waste of money to build backlinks when there are successful people doing it?
