In short: Backlinks are when you post a link on another website and the link point to your website ![]() The anchor text (link text) need to match the keyword your trying to rank for (ex. "Red Carpets"). Don't know what "domain backlinks" are, guess it's an odd description of a normal backlink. |

In my opinion, backlinks are the text link that rises your page authority in the Google ranking. Here the domain links and page links are not different bcs you can see when we made a backlink on the other web page then we copy the URL of the webpage so these both are the mutually exclusive to each other.

The main difference comes in here: If somebody tells you they will leave page backlinks greater than PR4, that means that the individual pages where they will leave those backlinks are greater than PR4 Whereas, If somebody tells you they will leave domain backlinks greater than PR4, that means that the domain on which the pages where they will leave those backlinks are greater than PR4 (the individual pages may have less page rank than PR4) I hope this makes sense |

| All backlinks are "page backlinks": a backlink is, by definition, a link to a specified page (or to something on a specified page) on the web. When people say "domain backlinks" they're actually not talking sense. But what they typically mean is a backlink to or from a website's "home page". If you're thinking of page ranks, the important point to be aware of is that websites don't have page rank: only pages have page rank. And if someone is selling backlinks from (for example) a "PR-6 site", then they're usually liars who want their potential customers to imagine that they're buying a PR-6 backlink, rather than a backlink on a PR-0 page of a site of which the home page happens to have a page rank of 6. There's no such thing as "a PR-6 site". ![]() There's such a thing as a "site with a home page whose rank is 6", and that's something totally different. As anyone who submits to article directories can tell you, those backlinks are pretty worthless, unless they're on the page that's PR-6. Ezine Articles' home page has a rank of 6, but to call an Ezine Articles backlink a "PR-6 backlink" is either very ill-informed or blatantly lying (depending on the context). It's actually a PR-0 backlink. |

"Domain links" might also be shorthand for "run of site" links, meaning a link that appears on every page. An example might be a link in a blogroll or other sidebar widget, or a link in the footer of a site. Even though the link appears on every page, they are generally considered less valuable than links limited to relevant pages, simply because they do appear on every page (like ads). |
