Default Trying to figure out what went wrong?

I created this local dentist site to see if I could get it ranked. The url is dentistmorenovalley(dot)org the local keywords I was shooting for was dentist moreno valley, moreno valley dentist and dentist in moreno valley. After putting up content and building some web2.0 properties the site was sitting on page 2 at #13. So I hired some backlink builders from odesk and they spent around 8 hours so far. Well today I noticed that the rank has dropped. The only page that can be found is Privacy policy for some reason. Anyways I am at a loss and not sure what was done wrong. Needless to say I dont think ill be hiring any odesk BLers anymore. Any help would be great.

I would wait a few days (or weeks) before you get too discouraged. Certain aspects of Google rankings are a mystery and you shouldn't judge the effects of link building on ranking in the short term. Keep writing quality content and building QUALITY backlinks and your rank will improve.

Remember...none of this happens overnight.....

Phil is right. Sites do tend to move around quite alot and in my experience if it is quite a new domain they can disappear for a few weeks then settle abit. But i would still be consistent with your link building.

Hi fluentdesigns,

I wouldn't worry about the drop, that is normal. Search this forum for topics on QDF and you will begin to understand why you saw your web page rise to position #13 and then drop. You may have done nothing wrong and there probably is nothing to be concerned with, assuming that your oDesk workers weren't doing anything nefarious.

Thank you for the replies I guess the best thing to do would be to write a few more articles and keep the backlink going slowly.

Correct. Churn out quality content like nobody's business.
