Default Google Kicked Me Out, But Yahoo & Bing Took Me In...

Hey warriors

I have a niche site that I have been working on and it has been climbing the ranks fairly well...

The last time I check its' rank it was on the 11th pg of google, then I checked like a few days later and it was on page 8... I'm cool with that because it is moving toward the first page

But...

Today when I checked its' rank it wasn't ranked at all...

But it was listed in yahoo and bing on page 4, whereas when i was ranking in google I wasn't listed in yahoo or bing...according to the checker I used. And I did check the rank naturally also...

can anyone drop some knowledge about what's going on?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATED!!!

Hey guys

If you just found this thread what is written above is what was going on before my I found out what the problem was...

I found the root cause of why my site just up and vanished. Well i went to searchenginegenie.com and used the tool for checking to see if my site was banned by google and the tool to check for sandboxing.

My site wasn't banned but it is in the sandbox...

I'm not bothered because obviously it could be worse. I've never been sandboxed before so this is new to me. So i did some research to see how to get out of the this situation. What I found wasn't bad news at all...

So from my understanding I can get my site back in the serp's by continuing to post to my site and build natural links, which is what I built in the first place. Also I read that google wants to see if an actual human is building the links to the site. But as I think about it, I might have built them too fast. I didn't think I did though.

What I discovered is kind of like what "kung fu backlinks" mentioned in his response below. Google want to test my site to make sure that everything is being done naturally.

So my plans are to continue to build the site as if I'm on the first page already and wait this thing out...

It's perfectly normal; that's what we call the Google dance. The sooner you accept it, the happier you will be. Whenever you make efforts to build backlinks to a new website, you will see that your Google rankings will often drop (sometimes to the point you will disappear from the first 1000 results)... but after a few days (weeks? months?) they will come back better than ever.

Just don't pay too much attention to this. Keep creating good content, good backlinks... and you'll be on the first page of Google, eventually

As far as your rankings differing in Bing, Yahoo and Google, that's because Google's algorithm is unique from other search engines' algorithms.

Google utilizes over 200 factors to determine a website's ranking. High quality content is an important element but other elements are just as imperative when Google ranks websites, content, etc.

Ranking is not a perfected science but this is not uncommon. The main thing you want to make sure is not doing too aggressive linking just to see your site get delisted.

Check by entering a search in Goolge with inurl:yourdomain to verify it's still there. As long as it's still there then it's just the Google dance. Just keep a steady daily pace of working on building your ranking over time and if you are consistent you should see results moving up from page 8 where you were before.

Ok awesome...I'm familiar with the Google dance but as far as a site vanishing from the results I never experienced...and then when my site all of a sudden ranked on the 4th page of yahoo and bing threw me off...

So imma slow down and turn this into a Marathon as advised

You're welcome Marc!

I used to wonder why sites ranked differently in different search engines myself.

And even when Google finishes dancing with your site, you'll more than likely see that the ranking position still isn't the same as Yahoo and Bing.

Yea I thought I had got delisted you know because I couldn't find my site the first time...
Because I used a pretty powerful link wheel on this site and of course 1 mistake can set things off course so that's what I though had happen...but I have checked Google and the site is still there. So hopefully when it shows back up it will surpass page 8 lol

Don't build too many links to fast. If your website is new, use high pr backlinks spread over a longer time frame, some sites never come back from the "dance".

Google Dance is weird... It's a natural thing to happen, not all new sites suffer from it, just a handful of sites escape its wrath. Even now it depresses me when this happens, my sites can dissapear for months until they re-appear, but it's worth noting that 9/10 it will come back - so just keep working on it.

It's a Google dance. One of my websites isn't anywhere in Google but on the very top of page 2 in Yahoo and Bing.

Have you built any strong backlinks to your site lately?

If so, your site will be back in a high position, but it's hard to say how long it will take, sometimes 2-3 days sometimes 2-3 weeks or even longer.

Totally understood... I remember my first site I built, which was mid 2011. It was bouncing around in the ranks a good bit. I thought it was from the increase of competition that was entering the ranks ( this site was for a cb IM product promotion) but it never disappeared though. But with my understanding now it most likely was a factor of both competition and the G-Dog Buggy (Google Dance) But yes 9/10 sounds great to me

Unless you see a site rank somewhere consistently for 2-4 weeks, do not expect it to stay there. That is a good rule of thumb.

What you can do now, to let the dust settle, is to stop building direct backlinks to your site for a little while... and to build backlinks to your backlinks instead.
That way, you'll make the backlinks that point to your website much more powerful (so you should still be increasing in the ranks), and you'll also let your site recover from the dance

Yea so one of your sites are doing the same thing huh... as far as backlinks I completed a linkwheel to the site about 5 days ago... and Ive done around 10 Socialbookmarks, submitted articles, not many though I think around 8 so far...but I've scheduled to get some backlinks today from other related blogs and etc

I think you do so much backlink blast to your web so google de-indexed your website.
Google have a different algorithm with other search engines.

If you still want to monetize your web using AdSense you need to create a new web in my opinion. Because you need a free traffic from google.
just my 2 cent

Hey Laganda

My site is still indexed in google. It just all of a sudden went out of the ranking yesterday. So since that was the first time that happened to one of my sites I was curious to what might have happened.

I didnt send all of those backlinks to my site at one time. lol I would dare do that especially since the site is fairly new. I dripped fed the site over the course of a week or 2.

And it is strange that you say I should create a new site with ads lol because that's actually what I am doing, well i'm in the process of doing my KW research...

Gotcha! So What I can do then is build links to the sites on my linkwheel which should send more juice to my site...

Awesome thanks

I listened to a great interview with a guy that saw the Google dance as a test - he advised that you continue to build direct links as well as indirect links on a consistent basis. If your site suddenly disappears and then the links stop, Google will know something was fishy... but if the links keep coming in anyway, then your link building is "legit" and not being manipulated.

Think about how a site would naturally grow. Would a "real" site stop receiving inbound links just because the site is not in the top 100 anymore? Of course not. A "real" site would continue to receive links regardless.

Just make sure your links are quality and varied and your site will come back strong. Building backlinks to the backlinks is also a great idea as you want to keep things deep and wide.

So I repeat... I would NOT stop building direct links to the money site. Just make sure those aren't the only links you're building.

Wow really that is the first time I've ever heard of that. It's perfectly logical and very interesting. I'm going to do some research on that...

That is some great stuff though
