Default Not-so-basic SEO doubts

When you build backlinks to your site, e.g: blog commenting, article directories, web 2.0s, blogs, forum profile links, etc.

Do you use the same proxy or switch proxies regularly?

If you do; do you switch proxies manually or do you use a tool?

Good question.

I use Hide My Ass. It's $11 / month or so and I switch the server every night. I drip out all my links, and every accounts I own has a unique username / sitename, so switching it every night is plenty.

I used to have a list of 20 odd Squid proxies, but my submission rate with tools is always better when using HMA.

I'd get a 30 or 60 proxy subscription (both of which are pretty cheap). Then use 1 proxy per day, and once every month or two ask your proxy provider for a fresh list.

No I don't.
The sites that you are building the links on should all have different IP addresses, so you shouldn't need to worry about building links from a proxy.
Google will see that your links to your site are all coming from different IP addresses, so nothing to worry about.

That is not the issue. The issue is whether those sites will start getting annoyed that one user keeps on submitting content over and over again with the same IP address. Probably 75% of sites don't care, but for those 25% you don't want them to go in one day and delete all of your links. That is why proxies are still important.

Yes I switch proxy. Hide-My-IP tool I found very useful for this purpose.

I think its better to switch your proxy to make it more natural and not spammy.
