How I Used Squidoo to make $359 in ONE day!

check this out..

January 25th i made a Squidoo lens about how to watch the super bowl online. I wrote a 500 word article and added a few modules (nothing special)

After my lens was completed i built a few social bookmarks to it.

All Topics - The Latest News Headlines, Videos and Images - Digg
Delicious.com - Discover Yourself!

then i pinged my squidoo lens and the digg link. After the super bowl was over i ended up getting around 3,000 hits to my lens. About 1800 hops on my click bank account and 15 sales later. $494 dollars made using 1 squidoo lens, hardly any backlinks at all.

Never under estimate the power of squidoo. Just make sure your using highly seo content and going for keywords with not so much competition.

Great share man. I've heard tons of stories that Amazon is great for Squidoo lenses and I didn't think that it'll work with Clickbank too.

A lot of people tend to overlook "trending" topics. This is a perfect example of ranking quickly for a trending topic, earning money, and moving on to the next topic.

Nice way to monetize some traffic and a trend quickly. Congrats on hitting that in one day. That would even be decent money for an entire week!

Squidoo is great for many things. It is always interesting to see how others are using it. This is definitely one the best ideas I have seen for quickly monetizing a trend! Definitely validates using trends to your benefit. Though I suppose the success would depend very heavily on the nature of the trend.

My first sale on Squidoo was a ClickBank product, too. Squidoo lenses are great, because you can rank them pretty easily with almost no work.

I did pretty well with Squidoo awhile back, too.

It's still a great source if you're looking to quickly rank a trending topic, like the OP did.

This thread alone has inspired me to try to resurrect my Squidoo account and to try to use it to my advantage... I tend to like writing different things, but I try to get into a mood for it. Once I'm inspired though, I may write a longer entry or two or three, so thanks for the inspiration with this thread. I guess I've neglected the ol' squid for a bit longer than I should have... Hubpages too for that matter, but I may need to get back on them if I want to build some valuable backlinks as well. Thanks again!

Squidoo is great even just for back link building. You can have up to 10 back links on a page and squidoo has a good PR. In addition, there isn't any waiting for things to be authorised or minimum amount of words required, plus it's free. I've used squidoo and seen large jumps in my SERPS

They frown upon affiliate links yes, But if you post original unique content thats good. They will keep your lens active. Just dont post spammy articles and you should be good to go

Squidoo is pretty easy to make money with. They love Amazon and eBay links.

As for other links, it really depends on the product. They have a list of Squiddont's so there are some topics you can't write about.

Thats true. The product i promoted actually has a sub category on squidoo so i figure its allowed.

I'm pretty sure that's the entire reason.

The trick is jumping on a trend that is about to breakout and ranking high. Squidoo & other web 2.0 sites tend to rank well. So you've got a good chance of doing so if you're quick.

Great job! Its great to see that Squidoo can still be profitable.
I used to dabble around with squidoo when I was first involved in the Internet marketing business. I was never very profitable with it alone but have had success with using it as an extra to boost the rank of a site and give it some authority in Google.

Look at Best Gift Ideas, he makes big money, how he makes it?

Only create lenses and bookmar it, thats all? Or he build groups and make conversasions with other people (I think no) how he makes it? He has very less content only affiliate store module.

Every marketer here on wf says that affiliate stores , amazon afiliate stores, affiliate store plugins, amazon tbale and whats on..that does all convert very poor?

Best Gift Ideas makes not very poor conversions.

Can any marketer here explain me that?

That's awesome man. It reminds me of a strategy another Warrior posted about one time although I can't find the thread.

Basically, he would pick a hot trend from Google and write an article about it on a major article site. Then he would add a link at the bottom leading to a CPA offer of some kind. He seemed to have made a good bit of money doing that every day.

He has 28 categrories on left sidebar, not content content is only from theese carousells or whatsever affiliate plugins.

I want to know more about him, how often he bookmark? How many lenses he has?
Does he makes guuest posting or so?

It looks like 200 product page same on squidoo bookmark, finish.

Traffic come from lenses bookmarks and they buy.

It can be so easily, I make hard work and post every day on blogger to and nothing views.....

I could be wrong, but I doubt this had anything much to do with Squidoo. I would venture to guess most of the OP's traffic came from his social bookmarks. His success however came from the fact that he identified a popular event (the superbowl) and was able to monetize it through good marketing (by knowing that people would be interested in watching the superbowl online).

He could have just as easily used a free Wordpress, Typepad or Blogger blog.

Would you think on an social platform like squidoo the conversionrates are 1-2% or lower?

When I look and think over it, I have the feeling that only certain niches will bring good conversion rates with hub and sdquidoo marketing only over social bookmark. Things who are hobby from many peoples or so like; what I like, what i do in my fee time........think over it and you will have a good convert niche in hub and squidoo (I think).

Set and forget it,not make guest posting or so only marketing, theme with special plugins like a little shop with product text- finish, ist easy. But I think the theme in hib or ssquidoo must a little bit cluttery like an ternd magazine or so.

Not forget; Not that hub or squidooshoot you down when you have always your own affiliate links in your hub or squidoo theme, mixed it with a few adsense ads so squidoo and hub earn with this ads.

You must a little bt share with squidoo or hub or they will kick you out, think about it , a little bit out of box, why should a big company like squidoo are not samaritan, they build this platform to make money, not that you only can make money with, not forget.

Not forget with this startegy, first your affiliate link products, shop plugins or whatever, only first on your site than on hub or squidoo.The gift maker has same product content on his own website and on squidoo.

Mixed with ads so squidoo cab earn with this and squidoo will love you.

So my theory.

I have type a topic in the squidoo search and wham- it shows me that:
Congratulations! You are one of the FIRST to search for this topic in Squidoo. Why not be one of the first to Build a Lens on it?.

So is there a goldmine niche I have found in squidoo who brings me fast traffic? (hope)
Million people all over the world has this hobby.....

Or is it so, where are not groups on a topic in squidoo, theres not interesting and traffic?

Are web2.0 properties like zimbio and yousaytoo brings good traffic too?

Squidoo tends to still rank fairly well. So I think that's at least part of it. I've found it a lot easier to rank a Squidoo Lens vs a Blogger blog.

Hy, Question: Look at Best Gift Ideas, he makes big money, how he makes it? Only create lenses and bookmar it, thats all? Or he build groups and make conversasions with other people (I think no) how he makes it? He has very less content only affiliate store module. Every marketer here on wf says that affiliate stores , amazon afiliate stores, affiliate store plugins, amazon tbale and whats on..that does all convert very poor? It reminds me of a strategy another Warrior posted about one time although I can't find the thread. Basically, he would pick a hot trend from Google and write an article about it on a major article site. Then he would add a link at the bottom leading to a CPA offer of some kind. He seemed to have made a good bit of money doing that every day.

But on Hell who are theese sites? He has 28 categrories on left sidebar, not content content is only from theese carousells or whatsever affiliate plugins. I want to know more about him, how often he bookmark? How many lenses he has? Does he makes guuest posting or so? It looks like 200 product page same on squidoo bookmark, finish. Traffic come from lenses bookmarks and they buy. It can be so easily, I make hard work and post every day on blogger to and nothing views..... marco005

Thanks to the OP (how come nobody is hitting the 'thanks' button?). This is pure originality in action. I could be wrong, but I doubt this had anything much to do with Squidoo. I would venture to guess most of the OP's traffic came from his social bookmarks. His success however came from the fact that he identified a popular event (the superbowl) and was able to monetize it through good marketing (by knowing that people would be interested in watching the superbowl online). He could have just as easily used a free Wordpress, Typepad or Blogger blog.

Also he alsways makes traffic only with social bookmarks, set it and forget it. Then he has an interesting topis, so squidoo people like it and buy? Would you think on an social platform like squidoo the conversionrates are 1-2% or lower? When I look and think over it, I have the feeling that only certain niches will bring good conversion rates with hub and sdquidoo marketing only over social bookmark. Things who are hobby from many peoples or so like; what I like, what i do in my fee time........think over it and you will have a good convert niche in hub and squidoo (I think). Set and forget it,not make guest posting or so only marketing, theme with special plugins like a little shop with product text- finish, ist easy. But I think the theme in hib or ssquidoo must a little bit cluttery like an ternd magazine or so. Not forget; Not that hub or squidooshoot you down when you have always your own affiliate links in your hub or squidoo theme, mixed it with a few adsense ads so squidoo and hub earn with this ads. You must a little bt share with squidoo or hub or they will kick you out, think about it , a little bit out of box, why should a big company like squidoo are not samaritan, they build this platform to make money, not that you only can make money with, not forget. Not forget with this startegy, first your affiliate link products, shop plugins or whatever, only first on your site than on hub or squidoo.The gift maker has same product content on his own website and on squidoo. Mixed with ads so squidoo cab earn with this and squidoo will love you. So my theory. best wish marco005
