Two websites in same niche hosted at the same server may affect the ranking.

Please confirm...

Not something I have tried before, but I don't see why it should be a problem. There is no rule saying you can't have two sites for your company etc.

The only way to know for sure is to give it a try, but I think it will be fine as long as they are not duplicate content.

Hey Hajath,

Two websites in the same niche on the same server should NOT have an effect on the rankings of either site.

I have several micro niche sites hosted in my Hostgator account. Few of them are in the same niche. Never had problem with Ranking

I dont see any problem with ranking too.... I have 2 sites on my same shared hosting account.

If you are talking about back links from those sites, If there pr is greater than 3 surely it effect your ranking.

And if you are asking about your own sites on same server then there is no problem hosting them there. As much old site age, strong on page and off page seo then surely both goes for high PR.

I don't see any penalty for simply having two websites in the same niche on the same server. Of course if you are trying to use them for links to try to fool the Big G, being on the same server would be a dead giveaway.

I haven't had a problem with this myself. I believe as long as the websites have different content and are not duplicates, you should be fine.

Sounds like more of a "rumor" than anything else

This shouldn't be a problem. However, avoid interlinking the sites...as this can look like a link farm.

That said, it's always best to keep sites on separate IP's if possible. That way if one site gets slapped the others are fine.

You shouldn't have any problems. I had a few landscaping sites on my GoDaddy account and they ranked pretty well before I sold them.
