Default Help with keyword selection

Hi, I posted a message before asking for a review of my website and you guys were very helpful with that. After doing some extensive research on different companies I have chosen the one which is going to do all SEO related tasks (did this through Elance). The price will be performance based as follows:

Milestone 1 - To start work - $300

M2 - completing month 1* - $75 - Building strong base for SEO

M3 - completing month 2* - $125 - for placing your website in TOP 70 for 10+ keywords(K)

M4 - month 3* - $275 - for placing your site in TOP 50 for 10+ K

M5 - month 4* - $225 - for placing your site in TOP 30 for 10+ K

M6 - month 5* - $275 - for placing your site in TOP 20 for 10+ K

M7 - month 6* - $325 - for placing your site in TOP 10 for 10+ K

Our GUARANTEE - After milestone 2 you will not pay us anything until we show you results for suggested milestones.

Would like to know what you guys think about this price, if its fair or not. I had many companies come in lower but few were performance based and the ones that were did not have the history that this one has which is why I made the choice.

Moving on to the actual question. They suggested some keywords, some of which I picked and others I did not. All together we came up with 20 keywords and I would like to know what you guys think:

Cheap Phones
Phones for sale
Used Phones
Used Phone
used cellphones
Use Phones
Used Wireless phones
Used Cellular
Used Verizon Phones
Used Blackberry
Used Phones to Buy
Cheap Phones for sale
Used cell phones for sale
Used Sprint Phones
Used ATT phone
Used tmobile phones
used cell
used cell phone
unlocked mobile phone
used mobile phone

Just about all have high competition but I figured if I am paying for it. My website is onecellular (dot(com and below are my competitors (adding the dot((com)

mobilekarma
dotcells
cellularcountry
cellulartrendz
replaceyourcell
craytonelectronics

eBay and Amazon as well but I don't really count them at this point.

My goal is to eventually have 50,000 unique visitors monthly, I know this might not happen just off these 20 words but I will add others once the 1st 20 are top 10. Based on that if I can maintain a 1% conversion rate (average is 1-1.5 for my "niche") then I will be very well off.

Knowing all of this if you are still reading... what do you think of the keywords and should I change a few out? Also, is pricing fair? I will for sure give them a bonus if they can get those 20 words in the top 5-10 because I think it would be worth it.

Let me know what you guys think...

If they will do onpage seo as well, then you got pretty good offer to get ranked for your keywords.

They could potentially take $1k of your money an then leave your keywords at position 30.

I either like to work as follows:
-Do 'x' amount of link building for $x
OR
-Achieve rankings at which I would be profitable for $x

From their perspective (once they have ranked you top 30), they could either earn an extra $600 by pushing 10 keywords to top 10 (i.e. $60 per keyword - very cheap!), or they could earn an extra $1000 by finding a new client and pushing their keywords to top 30.

I would have expected a far more tapered price levels to keep the company interested in ranking your site, for instance:
Top 50 - $50
Top 40 - $150
Top 30 - $300
Top 20 - $500
Top 10 - $1000

But if you say they have a trusted history, then they may well follow through with your orders right to the end.

You could always try given them 3-5 keywords to start with, and then based on how they perform with these you could give them more.

Best of luck!

Regards
Will

I thought about this and changing the structure more to your style, but decided not to push that button based on their long history and the fact that I can just call the Credit Card company and put a claim on it to get all the money back (I know its probably wrong to think like that about the Credit Card charge back but gotta protect myself somehow as elance will only protect payments that were made in the previews 30 days). Right now they have 43 feedback over the last 12 months with a 4.7 average. 85% recommended and 19% repeat. They have taken 173 jobs and reached 510 milestones with 142 clients whom have already paid so some projects are in progress for sure.

I had gone through the post. The Key words are the best sources for finding the theory behind any task or a project. The Post promoted is providing detailed information regarding the task. Could you please produce some more attachments for the more detailed view?
