For which website should I rank?

I have two clients with same niche and same keywords, to which client I need to give more preference or are there any parameters to do this?

You give preference to the client who payed more money. If that's not the case then you should treat them equally. My 2 cents.

Treat them equally.

Though, the most ethical way to do it would probably have been to let #2 know you have a conflict of interest and not take on the client in the first place.

Are these 2 websites absolutely the same? - If not, then find the differences and rank them both.
Do they both want to be on #1?

It totally depends upon on you whether you are working both websites at one time or leave one website
