Keywords and Google Limit

My son is talking to an SEO company and they have suggested that he use ONLY 5 keywords on a page. They said Google will ignore all words after the first 5.

This is news to me and contrary to everything I have understood in the past.

Is there any truth to this or is it sales BS?

i think you should only do 5 at the most for now anyway
