I would like this thread to be a discussion about how well duplicate content ranks in the search engines. Most of my content is unique however on my review site I also copy/pasted a sales letter from a product called IllusionMage. It's a clickbank product that is promoted by many and I bet many use the exact same sales letter. However my page is ranking fairly well in the search engines. It danced for quiet a bit but it came back to the bottom of page 1 where it is for over a month now and I did a minimum ammount of linkbuilding (only 30 highPRsociety article posts). The other 7 posts at the same website are 100% unique, would that help this post to rank (an unique environment). As with auto blogging and grabbing articles from the directories everything is duplicate. Another thing I would like to hear some opinions on is, whether its safe to use Adsense on auto blogging systems? Assuming it's 100% auto blogging. In case duplicate content surrounded by unique content is okay, what would be the correct ratio? Could it be one unique posts for 5 duplicate ones or would 1:1 be better or could we even go as far as 1 unique vs 20 duplicate posts? Please share your opinions / experience here. |
