Default Is cloaking always bad? Got a question

I'm hoping somebody who is an expert can help me with this dilemma concerning cloaking.

I know search engines frown on cloaking but they also take in account for intent.

I've spent the last two years creating an interactive ajax tutorial platform. This system allows my users to interact with tutorials published on my site via iframe or php include. All the information is stored in mysql database and not on the page.

If I were to display the entire tutorial on page it would be full of rich content, but the tutorial is much more user friendly if my user can interact with the ajax platform and only get the information they need.

So how can I let search engines understand what is in the ajax tutorial without having to let them crawl the databse, and without displaying it to the user upfront?

Is cloaking an option here or would I be just heading for trouble?

Thanks.
