I have a site (obviously) And I have been pushing to rank it for some certain terms for over a year now. Really competitive. Anyway. The site started to get good traffic a couple months ago and my main source of monetizing was Adsense. Decided to try some CPA affiliate offers. Didn't change the copy at all. Just added the affiliate code to existing hyperlinks. Got some good conversions. 1 day later. Bam. 7th page. Remove affiliate links. 2nd page. Few days later rankings return. Chill out for about a week just using Adsense. Everything seems cool. Get bold again and add the affiliate links. Bam! Page is now in oblivion. Lol. SMH.... |

Are you direct-linking to the affiliate page or cloaking it?

Interesting, I have an amazon aff site with cloaked links. The site was doing great for a while, until it disappeared from google. Halfway tempted to removed the cloaked links (well remove the aff links period) and see what happens. I know it was asked before, but are/were you cloaking your links. If so how? |
