Hey guys, I got 3 AdSense sites and would like to interlink them but not sure if it is good thing to do. They are all hosted on the same server. Reason I want that is because 2 sites struggle to get rankings and other one is doing good and has PR2 already.. I want to add a link to each of two sites in the blogroll section to get them some linkjuice. They are not in the same niche but in the same industry, as in they are in 'Tools' industry but not 'hammers' niche... people might find the links useful I think too. |

This question gets asked a lot for some reason. Maybe the hosting resellers have something to gain by propagating this.... Every big site, from ebay to amazon, from go.com to icanhazcheezburger, to "infinity" and gasbuddy and beyond, interlink their own sites, and many use the same server. You would be a fool not to. Toss in wikipedia and about.com with zillions, and the myth is killed. But, it will not die. Subdomains are treated as separate domains. So any site that uses subdomains, if there was some penalty, would never link up a subdomain either. Sound crazy? Of course it does. Same niche is a nonissue. Just ask gasbuddy.com, linking up a brazilian sites, same niche, same content for the most part, same server... Paul |

It's fine to do, and contrary to popular belief, there is a lot of value in it, even when on the same server.
