I am optimizing website for certain keyword. When I do Google search for that keyword I find that the site is in the top position. But when I check the site for the same keyword with web tools it says it is not in 1st hundred pages on Google.com. Can someone tell me why this is happening. Another interesting factor is I get different results when I search on Google for that very same keyword with Firefox, IE and chrome. IE and chrome gives the same page, it is with Firefox I get top position. |

although none of us knows exactly what is going on under the hood over at Google, one possible explanation could be a location-based factor in your keyword terms that would allow your site to rank high but still show low in web tools based on overall ranking...
