Basically, adding content to other places around the web works, however, not just any content, content that is targeted to your buyer.

Pre-selling your product is critical to get the conversions you want. There is no point in driving traffic if it does not convert.

1) JV's rock! Certainly sometimes they may be a one-hit wonder but they are certainly worth it especially during a launch of a new product.

2) Article Marketing - writing articles has been a mainstay of consistent traffic for me. One thing that I've noticed though, with most things, if you stop writing them the traffic slows down big time.

3) SEO - done right with long tail keywords you can expect solid results for a long time.

I have finally found my first profitable niche. I received my first sale on clickbank and was thrilled. Since then, I have trying to come up any way to build more traffic by writing articles for bukisa, hubpages,ehow, etc. I have tried yahoo answers, and I am making a few bucks a week, but I feel like I'm wasting alot of time trying this and that on ways that don't really bring traffic.

I was wondering if you could share some advice on a few specific sites or ways to build some solid traffic that I can focus more attention on instead of dabbling with several sites that give little results?

Hope I can help Nicolasb answer a bit here, feel free to add more.

I usually do keyword research before writing any articles, especially getting those 4 words to 6 words long tail keywords as my article title, then optimize and include keyword in these areas in the content:

1. Title
2. First Paragraph
3. Middle Paragraph
4. Last Paragraph

With keyword in these areas, your article will have a higher chance to rank. To ensure your article actually rank for that keyword, you need some powerful backlinks!

** Note: Depending on how competitive your keyword is, the more competitive the more backlinks you need to rank on that keyword!

Next, post your articles into high PR domain sites, like EZA, goarticles and many other web 2.0 websites! By using the domain power of these authority sites, you will have more advantages over your competition sites.

Follow next will be backlinks to your articles, try mixing bookmarking, blog comments and profile links to your articles, in 2 to 3 weeks, you should start to get traffic to your site / blog!

Scale this up to 100 times and you get 100 times traffic!

I've had pretty 0 success with directories. I'm not sure how anyone generates traffic with forum posting. Too lazy for article writing. Maybe I should outsource it.
