Penguin Update Recovery Tips & Advice
The Penguin Update: Google's Webspam Algorithm Gets Official Name

- Official name for it is now Penguin. So no more calling it Panda.
- As SEL breaks down, there were three changes/errors this last week. Be sure you know which one affected your site.
- The update is fully rolled out. I know people were hoping it's not done or were waiting for "things to settle".
- You can't do a reconsideration request for automatic penalties/filters like Penguin or Panda.

Aside from some probably minor tweaks, Google is not gonna roll it back.

retsek the fact that its fully rolled out does not mean that things do not move around. It is live in all datacenters yes -are sites moving up and down in response to it? Yes. so settling can still take place. I think now things are beginning to stabilize. quite a few of the examples people were throwing around have seen significant changes.

Yes definitely there will be minor tweaks.

I just feel people should lower their expectations of a significant roll back. If you were hit, the best way to help yourself now is to start planning your recovery.

I don't advocate making changes right away, but plan now while you have the time.

I get you. Yep. definitely not going to be a roll back thats for sure. If there ever were going to have been one ( million to one) that would have been cancelled the minute Google saw all the marketers crying. They probably broke out the champagne at that.

now everybody will have to add 'penguin proof' to their seo packages and sigs
