Creating a Blog

Hi all, I have just purchased a new domain. Now the domain is intended to be a blog so my main page will be a blog and I will have a few static page aswell.
My question is how do you go about doing SEO for a blog and how do you go about backlinking ect as it will be changing every time I add a new post. how do you create on-page SEO ect or do you have to just do this with every post you make.

You can install wordpress as the platform to blog and install All-in-one SEO as plugin. By using this plugin, you can easily optimize each post with the keywords that you want to target. hope this help

Hey thanks for the response, I am using wordpress to build my site but will now go and download that plugin cheers. With regards to backlinks should i backlink the page itself or each post?

if you wants a Word press Blog then firstly Install the word press on the server. or download the word press template and update it on local after that upload it on the main server. many word press templates are available on the market .

It is very easy to customize a blog. You can add meta tags for its optimization and do some off page activities like add your blog in blog directories, submit in top bookmarking sites, do theme based blog comments.

Blog creation is the best but if you update your blog on daily base then its very good.

Cheers guys great help, Will hopefully be updating my blog at least a couple of times a week so should have plenty of fresh content which is what google whats theses day I think.

For getting backlinks, the best thing you could do that would help you in more ways than one is to go to other blogs in your niche and comment on them. That helps build exposure and gets you backlinks at the same time.

It works in the same way like any website, if you use WordPress there are many plugins that can help you to add a meta description, meta title, and meta tags for your home page. Then you will have to build links...

Yer already have a few blogs that are relative to my niche that I use to backlink as they add new content all the time ect so hopefully should help get started.
Also is it worth adding my link to my other websites (see sig for the sites) as all 3 of the sites are on the one hosting account will it help in terms of backlinking or is it not worth it.

i prefer you to install Wordpress with All in One SEO plugin. so you won't need to do all the onpage SEO settings.
