Default Digg Page Ranking Higher Than The Original

Just a short post to find out if anyone else has experienced this...

Usually when I create a new post I'll submit it to places like Digg, Reddit and Delicious etc, which hasn't ever caused me any problems, that I know of. However, I wrote a post about buying Facebook stocks a few hours ago and just noticed that the Digg submission is ranking higher in SERPs than the original, what's that all about? Quite annoyed about it...

I supposed that's because Digg has better PR and authority than your website. So Google rank it higher.

It's not a bad thing though. When people clicked that Digg link..they'll still ended on your website then.

No matt78. You are not exactly right. A page where you get a backlink from CANNOT have a higher position in google than the ORIGINAL page of your website. The link juice you get from Digg is more than the the Digg page

Digg ranks exceptionally well, especially when you vote up your bookmark.

Yep overtime though this will tail off. Digg stuff usually ranks high quickly but it wains. Especially if your page ends up getting anymore links.

I think you should try to edit title and description when bookmarking to Digg and Stumbleupon.
