Recently, I have known that using anchor text with links count as a spam by the google penguin. Now, my question is, how can we do blog comments that will be google penguin friendly.

I have got some knowledge about this from some of my friends that I can use "click here" , "Read More" , 'watch more" keywords with links that will be natural to google penguin. Is that true ? What do you say about it ?

I've heard that using your domain itself is natural and doesn't throw up as many red flags.

With blog commenting I use my name not a keyword and also just use the domain, a lot of decent blogs won't approve anything but the domain. I havent had any issues with this

It also means you are not just using exact match anchor text

    Hope this helps

Never use mass blog commenting directly to your money site, vary your anchor text and you're safe.

    1. Quality over quantity. (Avoid the "10,000 backlinks!!!!" blasts.)

    2. Anchor text variation. Use a name, a name plus your anchor text, just anchor text, LSI keywords, etc.

    3. Leave quality comments that you'd approve on your own blog. Before pressing submit, stop and think: "Would I approve this comment on my own blog?"

Well here is a suggestion from loopline for those how know him what you can do:
    http://www.scrapestuff.com/scapebox-...t-post-penguin

Or if you do not use SB you can go to adwords and use the kw tool to find related kw to your main kw.

You also have the choise to use general anchor text as: link here, click here, see this.. etc. But it not seems a very good ideea for me I will go for relevant secondary kw.

As an suggestion I think it will help you more to build internal link with secondary kw in it and blast those secondary kw to point to them

    EX:
www[.]samsung[.]com/2010_samsung_55_inch_lcd_tv.html with anchor:2010 samsung 55 inch lcd tv

You should use like 60% of link to the main kw and 40% to secondary

I hate when people come and give advice that they read some where and they do not test it and they take it for granted, more then that they do not have or do not understand how things work.

Most of you say that anchor diversity mean to use text like "click here" or "read here" I do not say that this is wrong, you should also use this kind of anchor text but in a lower percentage (5%-10%)

I say this because you will have more to win if you use secondary kw as a method to diversify your kw.

Let me explain why you will have a bigger advantage:

    1. You have the chance to be put in SERP for more kw that can bring you additional traffic and still have the same result in the meter of diversity as using the some general anchor text.
    2. I say to use the SB tool for kw since this tool extract the suggestion kw from search engine this mean that you will not use as anchor some text randomly selected but you will use some kw that are very popular this day's. So G will find your link and see that you have a person that make a reference (link) to your site for one of the most popular searches at this moment.
    3. What is the meaning of building backlinks with anchor text? G will find your link and the anchor text and see that some one talk about you and mentioned your website about a particular anchor text/kw so G will consider that your site is relevant to appear in a search for that kw. So what it will help you if your anchor text will look like "click here", in what search will G consider that your website is relevant to appear? When people search for "click here"?!
But if your anchor will look like "samsung tv lcd review" G will consider that your website is relevant to appears in searches that contain word funded in your anchor.

You can absolutely link blog comments directly to your main site. Just make sure they're quality / manual comments.

I approve this. Also, I think that using long keywords as anchor text won't help anymore. Better use your name and find some other methods to build anchor text backlinks.

        Thanks,

This has always been true since way back years ago. Using LSI keywords help you prevent from over-optimization. In fact, with the penguin update you don't need to use the keywords as your anchor texts that points to your money site. It would be safe to use lots of variations and only use your keywords as anchor texts on tier2 and tier3.

Heres what we do currently...and its working:
    - Multiple anchor texts in commenting (apart from name and domain where anchor text is not allowed)
    - if using commenting software - dont point to money site but at tier 2 and 3 links & avoid spamming huge numbers as that is now traceable
    - Private blog networks
    - Mix of Press releases and article marketing
    - add fresh content (unique and copied content have given mixed results so cant say one is better than the other with our bunch of blogs)
    - experimenting a few others (will update later)

    Hope this helps....

Post Penguin update I will recommend you research for good blogs using opensiteexplorer sort of good tools of your competitors who are having blog comments in your same industry blogs and then placing your blog comments on those niche market blogs manually.

Stay away from automatic blog comment softwares as that may harm after penguin update...

Man, I do miss the days of Yahoo Site Explorer. It was SO EASY plugging a competitors site into Scrapebox and quickly analyzing all of their backlinks.

-Get blog comments that need to be manually approved (or at least have the comments on blogs that are quality blogs, and not filled with spam)

    -Niche related blogs are better

-High PR is good, but necessarily required for your comments to be effective

    -Mix up anchor text

And now you're good to go!

Disagree. It's especially valuable with low competition phrases, since it generally just takes a handful of PR1+ links (among a small variety of other links) to rank.

I would advice you to refrain from using any blog commenting tools that give you links from spammy sites. Secondly you should use multiple anchor text and choose high quality sites for commenting (could be difficult but this would give you better results).

      That's a pretty broad statement.

Blindly blasting thousands of junk blogs with junk comments? Pretty much dead. Leaving quality comments on moderated blogs? Still working just fine. Even better, if it's niche-related, you can drive some pretty decent traffic if the blog is popular.

It is same as other methods, if you vary your anchor text still you are in safe.
When it comes to blog commenting, it is better to have your name or site domain as commentator's name which make sense and looks natural compare to have keywords as commentator's name which obviously indicates that you are doing link building
