Hello guys , ive been working at my website for 3 months and i still cant get good organic traffic .
My website is with funny pictures and humor .
Most of my traffic is from social sites BUT my Google Organic Traffic is little .
Its only almost 4 months old , so as a new site that might be the reason that google dosent send me more traffic.
I made the website PR 4 so i guess i have some value from that .
My traffic daily is from 1500 to sometimes 5000 unique visitors .
The seo that i made for the website is : blog commenting , Article posting , Link Exchange , Youtube video , Social bookmarking , directories , profile links .
This are some statistics from google webmaster tool , Search queries :

Links to my site 162.354 , picture from google webmaster tool :

As you can see my homepage has the most links , should i increase the links of other posts ? not only the homepage?

I dont know what to do to increase organic traffic , this is my first website and all that ive done is from reading this forum .
The website is PR 4 alexa rank 660.000 .
What can i do to improve my organic traffic and seo ?
Its true that the keywords that im using are competitive , that might be the only reason? ive made keyword research best as i could , all the keywords related to this kind of websites are competitive.
Could someone advise me if my on page seo is wrong ? or maybe some strategies to improve my backlinks for this kind of website ( funny pictures and humor ) ?
Im curently adding about 3-6 posts a day , so its hard to add links to all of them .
Im not using any software to add backlinks , all done manual .

Sorry for the long post and i hope i didnt forget to add something , maybe someone could give me some advice .

The website is lolmode.com if anyone would like to analyze .
Have a nice day , Nick.

1500+ per day is a very large amount of traffic are they human visitors? What are you doing to monetise this traffic. Have you considered targeting more keywords?

Im using google Adsense , brings me about 2 euros per day , sometimes 5 euros .
Reason why i want organic traffic is couse its a better traffic , more targeted , adsense brings in more money .

your traffic is pretty good. The theme of your website demands social networks as most of the fb users and social networks involve humour and fun.

So the best way is to create your own fb page, have more likes and fans to get more traffic.

Have patience and keep on doing your stuff... keep in mind that its the consistent work that will bring you charm..

According to Google Webmaster tools you are not getting 1500-5000 unique visitors a day or am I missing something?

The better question is why you even want to focus on Google traffic. Given the type of content your website has (and your stats are backing this theory up), social sharing is going to be the best way to bring eyes to your site.

Focus on growing that traffic stream. There is no reason to have a love affair with Google.

So, how do your 3 keywords rank? Doesnt it just come to that? If you're currently targeting 3 keywords then you should rank them top 3, then go after more keywords after that.

On one of them i am on google page 1 , and on other they still give me some little traffic but im far from page 1 , they are very hard to rank.

Try to rank for also other keywords that have bigger research.
Step by step, one by one

Most of the keywords that im trying to rank have over 100.000 exact match search , so if i go for bigger keywords it will be probably harder to rank , since i dont even rank for most of the ones that im trying to rank now.

Yes but after having a better look at my google adsense account i saw that the traffic from social sites is not that good compared with traffic that comes from google .
Users that search this kind of content are more valuable for my site since thats what they are looking for.
Traffic from social sites its not that good since they come on the site but only 15 % of them really convert in facebook likes or even come back to the site.

Well, your traffic probably doesn't convert because all of the actual content is stuff that was old on Reddit like two months ago, which is an eternity for funny pics on the internet.

You'd be surprised. I'm squarely in your target market. Seen each and every picture on your first couple of pages. It was like a bad memory of /r/funny.

Yes, the internet is a big place; but the content you are using originated from some very big and well trafficked websites, the type of websites your target audience uses on a regular basis.

Joe , i understand that you are a big fan of reddit , but to be honest all the things posted on /r/funny on reddit are from other sites , its not original , just viral , and viral things usually are on more sites not just one , thats just the way it is .
And to be honest not all the internet its on that board on reddit . I still get on many of my posts , facebook shares , stumbleupon shares , retweets etc. that means not all the people saw them , it all depends , im sure not everyone its using reddit for entertainment , most of the people are using google to find funny content .

Never said otherwise. You're missing the point. Your target market is seeing that reposted content on other sites before they get to yours. You're at the bottom of the funnel. You don't offer anything that the bigger sites don't already provide.

You asked why your traffic was no good and not converting, I'm giving you the reason. They see crap they already saw and click away instead of clicking your ad. You do with the advice what you want. Your site doesn't pay my bills so I couldn't care less .

I wouldn't focus exclusively on search engine traffic at the expense of social traffic. You need both but it sounds like you're already doing pretty well from social.

I would try going for a lot of long tail keywords. This will bring in a little traffic for each minor keyword and also add diversity to your link profile. As you start to rank for these long tail keywords I would step it up to include keywords slightly further up the tail. Don't go for the uber competitive keywords to begin with. Build up a foundation of long tail keywords first.

Also, don't point all your links at the homepage. Have links pointing at different pages and use appropriate keywords for the different pages.

Yup, longtail lower competition keywords is what I would go after as well. I would research at least 150 and then create a page or post for each - semi targeted to that keyword. You could install a blog that is visible or not visible on your homepage and simply post there.

Or more tediously, you could create separate pages for each article.

If you want to beef it up a bit, you could then backlink to each of those posts to give them a little more juice, but depending on how competitive they are, they may rank W/O SEO. Keep in mind that longtail keywords that rank on their own are usually under 1K exact searches / month - but it just depends.

If you have the cash you could outsource and or automate this whole process.

So basically youre saying that i should find 150 long tail keywords with about 1k exact month searches with low competition of course and make a post for each ? ok i understand this and sounds good , what do you mean by making a blog and backling each of those posts?
What about semi targeted to that keyword what do you mean by that?
So if i make a post for a long tail keyword , i should use the keyword in the title of the post , description , content and page keywords?

Sorry to be a newb but like i said in the first post , ive only been doing this for almost 4 months .

          And thanks for the advice.

Using keywords in your domain name is important, but so is using them in your directory path and file names. Whichever software application you’re using to publish your website, ensure that it’s creating file names that are rich in your targeted keywords. Also, use dashes instead of underscores to separate your file name keywords.
