You need to research the keywords that get the most searches in your niche and make sure you include them in the meta tag description. Make sure the words you want to come up for most are in the start of the description.

One important tip is to use meta descriptions as the search engines, especially Google, will pick them up and show them in the SERPs. The main part you see on a Google search (highlighted in bold) is the title tag, and below that is typically the meta description. You have an opportunity to encourage your buyer's to click on your link and visit your website. Use good promotional content on it. Here is the meta description I got for this website: Cheap Holiday Deals | Bargain Holiday Deals | Last Minute Holidays "LOOK NOW ! Find Cheap Holiday Deals from ALL UK Top tour operators. Fantastic Cheap Holiday Deals including all popular destinations. Search4sun and our Cheap Holiday Deals" I would recommend changing it to only use the keyword once and maybe twice at the most. If you use it too many times it can look like spam. Since that content is in your coding the search engines can still pull it up so you want to be careful about them thinking you are spamming. Let me know if you have further questions. |

One other thing I forgot to add was that you should ensure you make good use of your title tags. Some people think title tags and meta tags are the same while others don't, so I wanted to make sure you didn't think I forgot about it.
