Hi there, what is your opinion on whether Google Adwords cost per keyword will continue to increase in price? I think it will. What do you think? |

Lol! There are thousands of people online here. It will continue to increase because Google needs to increase its profits though a % of the increase will be 'necessary' due to inflation.

If you're talking about more competition meaning higher bid prices then possibly, yes, the overall trend is that keywords will get more expensive as more people compete for them. BUT ... that doesn't mean they have to get more expensive for you... With a well structured and high performing campaign, you can continue to get lower cpc prices and end up paying less than someone with a less optimized campaign. Richard |

I agree with Richard that the price will still increase, due to some rich companies wanting to dominate the particular niche, then most properly they will make sure they are on the top of the search first. At the same time, using SEO to bring their website to the top of the search. When their SEO succeed in getting into the 1st page search, then they will decrease their PPC price. Thanks Richard. Is there anyone who wants to share? |

I think their prices will increase - you just have to become smarter to keep your ppc costs down

Why wouldn't their prices increase? The more an advertising medium matures, the higher the prices. On the flip side, as PPC marketers we have at our disposal new techniques, software, automation and intelligence tools etc etc. Also, the prices will not get so expensive that profit can't be made. It's a real time traffic auction. The market over time won't pay more than the real "value" of the traffic. Keep in mind that Google is big on balance. Good for advertisers, good for searchers, good for shareholders. Google wants you to succeed, because they succeed that way too. They are not stupid, I can tell you that much. :-) |

Actually, I have been seeing my bid prices coming down for a while now. I haven't done any optimizing or changed anything in my existing campaigns. Maybe the economy is having an impact. The key though is as George indicated and that is, focus on what you can do to make your campaigns and account history the best they can be. In the long run, this will keep your bid prices lower than your competitors which is all that really matters. |

Your cost per key depends on how profitable you to Google. If you see your key price increase - your campaign is not in good shape! When your ad making people to click - Google will decrease your prices. |

Of course its going to increase! The more that BigG has to keep their profit rising year after year, and with more and more people wanting to advertise on Adwords on the same topics over and over again.. Its simply economics really! More demand with static suppy = greater prices.. Take care Bruce |
