Site Traffic Kick Off Thoughts

I am wondering if anyone would be willing to share their strategy for kicking off a site to generate traffic.

I was hoping to find out if services were used for directory submissions, article submissions, social bookmarking, etc.

Maybe a blueprint of sorts like:

1. site launch
2. 100 social bookmarks purchased
3. 10 articles submitted to 100 directories
etc. etc.

Your blueprint sound pretty good so far.

1. I would normally suggest submitting your site to as many of the social bookmarking sites and trusted directories as you can as a starting point

2. Then after that forums posts and articles should be one of the main tasks.

3. Release a press release at the start to get word out about your services.

4. Whenever you create a new page you need to build links from social bookmarking or through articles to get it indexed.

5. Create an XML sitemap and submit it to Google

These are just a few pointers to get you started.
