you can searched google on where to find the best SEO trainings, thus, SEO topic is very broad there are minor topics you should also be learning.

well i think understanding the search engine and understanding the basics is important and then experimenting will help.

many seo e books are avalable in market and i have a few, so i try learning it everyday as the web world is dynamic and keeps on changing everyday

The best thing you can do it try things yourself. Set up a few small sites, let them settle in the serps and then test different things. If I believed everything that I have heard banded around the forums i'd be spinning in circles now.

The best mentor you can have once you have got to grips of the mechanics of SEO is YOURSELF.
