How important is the domain name with respect to a particular niche product if its just a sales page? I ask because I have an unused domain name that I thought I would load a sales page for a particular business niche. I intend to promote the product on clickbank. Thanks |

I think you should use your keywords + brand name to make a url, it's better for seo and easy to let all the customer remenber your site.

You domain name has ALWAYS include you KEYWORD. If not - its useless, because Google checks you for relevant criteria! Don't try to use something like MyToy.com to sell a Forex program!

You need to try and include the keywords that you want to target into your domain name but do not make it too long.

I created a website about 6 months ago focused on a keyword that was getting about 2,000 searches per month. It was a basic one page site that had an IDX feed (MLS search for rental homes in my area). Created several other sites loosely based on searched terms, but not exact. Results? Within 2 days, my page was #9 on Google for searched term. Within 2 months, it had moved to #3. Pretty cool considering how competitive real estate is on the web. I'm a big proponent of the URL exactly matching what you want people to be searching for. I honestly get more free traffic than paid on this site. Pretty cool. |
