How I used Pinterest to get front page on Google

I have been running a little experiment with Pinterest. I have been reading a lot of topics regarding Pinterest and it's effects with Google. So, I decided to try a little experiment on a new website.

This is the exact method I used to get a new website from nowhere to the front page of Google. Currently sitting at #8 as of this morning.

Let me give a little history of the website.

It is a EMD. It had no backlinks, prior to this experiment. Each page has a 1,000+ word article with a keyword density of less than 1%.

The main keyword is in HIGH competition and it's search volume is:

1,830,000 - Broad
14,800 - Exact Match
368,000 - Phrase

This is what I did. I bought these 2 Fiverr gigs:

Fiverr Pinterest #1

Fiverr Pinterest #2

This is what I did, and I will try my best to explain it.

I bought those 2 Fiverr gigs and pointed them at my 5 INNER pages only, not main root.

This is EXACTLY what I did.

I took Pinterest #1, and used inner page #1. This particular gig also tweets the url to it's followers, I made sure the retweets had my keywords as hash tags. Looks some like, "How to fix #widgets".

I took Pinterest #2 and used inner page #2.

I took Pinterest #1 and #2 and used inner page #3. I also used the hash tags as keywords, because i am using the Pinterest #1 gig.

I took Pinterest #2 and used inner page #4.

I took Pinterest #1 and used inner page #5. Using hash tags as keywords again.

This may look confusing, but I did it this way for a reason.

If you use the same Fiverr gig over and over, it won't have as much as of an effect. Basically, you would have the same Pinterest accounts repinning all your inner pages. You don't want that. A few you can get away with, but every single one page, no way. So, I used these 2 gigs and mixed things up a little.

Each Pinterest gig had it's own picture. You don't want to use the same pictures over and over, it will look suspicious, and defeat the purpose.

If you look at what I did, this is how I used my images with it:

I took Pinterest #1 (image #1), and used inner page #1.

I took Pinterest #2 (image #2) and used inner page #2.

I took Pinterest #1 (image #3) and #2 (image #4) and used inner page #3.

I took Pinterest #2 (image #5) and used inner page #4.

I took Pinterest #1 (image #6) and used inner page #5.

I went to Google images and picked out pictures that closely resembles each inner page topic.

For example, if one of my inner pages was about "roof repair". I would go to Google images and search for images on "roof repair". I would look for a pic of a roof with a hammer. I would then use this pic for a Fiverr gig and use that inner page for the link.

It doesn't matter what your page topics are, you should have no problem finding a good pic to use between Google and Bing images. To be honest, I think Bing images is better.

Do you mind if you tell me the keyword? People say there is 'high competition' but really, all the competition you have is other EMDs or website competing for that specific keyword.

I agree with social signals and the effects on SERPS. You used pinning in this case

I used #1 Rated Retweet Service | Buy Retweets - Twitter Backlinks = Search Rank Gains for my twitter retweets and they always get me to page 1 of google when I have an EMD + onpage optimization + no links.

Very nice but you rankings won't last, I tested each Fiverr provider for Pinterest repins and tested it on a dozen pages of my test site. In the beginning it ranked well, well you can not really say well cause it moved a dead easy keyword from page 8 to page 3 (and similiar results). A month later it dropped back to page 8 again.

Why? Cause the Pinterest accounts OBVIOUS got banned.

Nice try Blue, retweets are just as worthless.


Is this what the warriorforum has become? Coming up with false case studies to promote your own Fiverr gig or the ones from a friend? Nice try, I hope no one is so stupid to really believe it.

RT aren't worthless. They helped 1 of my non-emd sites jump to page 3 without backlinks and it retained the postition for around 3 months now and my EMD site jump to page 1 without other backlinks for some easy-mid comp keyword.

Sure Blue, keep on dreaming

One of my clients gave me his $75/month account at the site in your link. We setup a couple of campaigns for dead easy keywords, none of those keywords have moved an inch. We're talking about keywords with <25% competition level according to SEOMoz, it just ain't gonna get easier then that.

To summarize it:

- There was a time that Retweets did work, but that's quiet some time ago
- Repins still work but it's much too temporarily

Conclusion: Sleep improves SERP rankings. Stop buying links, and start sleeping!

I've tried this and i can vouch that it works.

This also works for negative seo - take a one-hour afternoon nap and all of your competitors' sites rankings will fall by the time you wake up.

Sorry, but I won't disclose the keyword(s) I am targeting.

I am competing with multi-million dollar brand names. I am the only emd on the front page. The CPC is $6.80+.

I realize it more than likely won't last.

I don't own Fiverr gigs, I don't even like Fiverr.

I would have never tried these gigs if it wasn't for penguin. I needed to get some image backlinks and raw urls. I only used it to spread out my link portfolio.

Ah okay maybe I was a bit too fast with my conclusions then so in that case my apologies. I used to sell Pinterest repins in some of my packages but as soon as I discovered the accounts got deleted that easily I saw that it was going the same route as with the Retweets (those auto-generated accounts never last longer then a week or two) and in large amounts it even got sites penalized HARD, heck I even had a thin ugly looking micro niche site that didn't have much backlinking and a week after I bought the 500 retweets that got deleted in the same week my whole site got deindexed by Google LOL.

Maybe it's a poor coincedence but the week before that a brand new client website ranked from nowhere to page 8 or something (start of the campaign) and completely tanked also a week after we did the 500 retweets (I refunded him btw). So yeah you can imagine I'm definitely not a fan of fake social signals anymore. As a matter of fact I removed any type of auto-generated social signals out of my packages. Result: a drop in sales, LMAO.
