Default Amazon Newbie Needs Help From Amazon Gurus - The Honest Ones

Hey fellow Warriors,

Help, I'm suffering from info overload, headaches after implementing some wso's that simply don't work and now I've been told to focus on one thing. Okay so I switched off my PC and started to focus on finding that one thing. So I wrote stuff on a notepad. After a few mins, I looked at my notepad and came up with 'high heel shoes', 'designer handbags', 'camping gear' 'ipads', 'a man to show me how to make $5000 per month'...lol and so on.

By writing ideas on a notepad, I discovered what that one thing was. It wasn't creating products/wso's, cpa marketing or PPC trying to achieve a low CPC and a high CTR and all that stuff. No that would probably kill me of boredom. I had discovered something I was interested in > physical products > Amazon. This way I can make money and at the same time check out the latest high heel shoes n stuff - woman therapy.

Okay, so all I need to do is focus on Amazon. So I need to know the best Amazon coaching program/system/method that will teach me to make money by building Amazon sites. I need to know how much:

1) The site will cost to build?
2) How many review articles will be required and cost per article?
3) How much the seo/ back linking campaign will cost?

I would be blessed if I could make $100 per month plus a few high heel shoes on one site and then move onto the next 10 -20 sites. So I really appreciate your recommendation on the best program to follow and which comply with the latest Google updates, a set and forget site would be ideal.

Thank you so much Warriors. You Rock!

Hi. I'm still learning myself but I currently have two amazon sites at the moment.

I use wordpress and the flexibility 3 theme, which is free. I also use the reviewazon plugin which is great for pulling products from amazon and displaying them on your site. You can search for "reviewazon pro" on youtube to see if you like it or not.

Probably the best thing to do is buy the products yourself then take some pics and maybe a video to demonstrate that product and write the review yourself.

At the moment I don't do this myself (yet). I just pay someone to write them for me. There's plenty of writers here if you look around.

I start by having four product reviews before my site goes live and then try to add a review every now and then rather than forget about it.

Make sure you do proper research on the product you want. I'm guessing high heel shoes will be difficult to rank for.

There are free software that will help to determine if a particular keyword will be easy/hard to rank for. I'm using the free version of Traffic Travis at the moment but I'm sure people will suggest better software.

There are very few "set and forget" systems that actually work. Anyone who sells you a "set and forget" strategy and tells you it's a viable long term strategy is lying to you.

The easiest way to profit as an Amazon affiliate is to target low-competition products, rank them without backlinking, and drive conversions. However, this requires an hour or two of work per day.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to manage so many domains and pay all the costs associated with hosting and renewals of said domains? Why not build a handful of authority sites that actually produce?

Your whole Amazon campaign depends on the level of competition. I created a review site on the 6th and it was ranked at position 9 in 3 days with zero backlinks. And I only posted one article of about 250-300 words.

My strategy is to create one site around one product or keyword. I find the conversions are much higher this way. Associated costs are about $80 a year for hosting and around $7 for domain name registration.

I would give wolfmmiii's guide a go. I've followed his strategy of doing things and within a week all my product reviews are ranked and getting stronger by the day and also made a sale. I had a 5 yr old domain that has fitted perfectly with the niche I'm working on.

10-20 domains? Wow, you really don't need anywhere near that many.

You'd do much better to focus on 2 or 3 sites but really make them GREAT. These would be far easier to manage and you'd get more out of them - both in a monetary and self esteem sense. You could interact with people on your site and talk about products which you promote and so on.

Another reason for focusing on fewer sites is the fact that if you spread your attention too much then the quality of each individual site will be lower - that's bad for not only the users of your site but also bad in the eyes of Google.

Before you start trying to outsource everything - do it yourself first. If you don't figure out how to do it yourself first then you're going to have to trust the word of the content providers / backlinkers in terms of what's the best way to do it. Whereas if you find a way that works for YOU then you can find people who will do things exactly the way YOU want them to.

You can't really make a site, and then leave it alone to just run itself. You have to add fresh quality content and be persistent with a clean backlinking regime. But over time, as you get better at running websites yourself you can start to outsource certain things - you could get a VA to do backlinks specifically as you instruct them to for example.Or even find a VA with good writing skills, teach them how to research and write content the way you like it done and then get them to write some of your content. The amount of work is still the same, but as your stable base of sites grow you can afford to outsource more - just so long as you keep a careful eye on how things are going. You would still be the manager - there's really no such thing as completely passive income.

Amazon affiliate marketing is great though - and Amazon are a great company to be associated with and a pleasure to deal with most of the time, in my experience. But start work yourself, and then consider outsourcing - for there is much to learn.

Last thing - use Wordpress. It's perfect for affiliate marketing and with a tiny bit of learning you can run it all yourself - very little programming knowledge needed. It gives you a text editor very similar to word to write your content and a very easy layout to follow in terms of site design. The absolute heap of useful plugins is a huge bonus as well - it would be very time consuming to get a lot of the features offered by some of these plugins onto a non-wordpress site.

Good luck!!

Edit: I forgot to mention. Before you do even THINK about starting a website - make sure you've done your niche research correctly. This is the cornerstone and if you don't put enough time and effort into it you could spend weeks or months working on a site only to realise that you haven't done your research correctly and it actually isn't as profitable or worthwhile as you initially thought.

Hey Wolfmmiii,

Thanks a million for your help.

For some reason, I'll been fed garbage from the info overload about building over 20 sites but I like your way better - to build a handful of Authority sites.

Your the man! Again something tells me that your a Guru who can deliver.
When does your Amazon wso come out? Will it tell me how to create an Authority Amazon site and could you please answer these few questions:
1) What WP theme, plugins to use and how much would it cost?
2) How many review articles will I need and what would be the cost per article?
3) How much is required to set up an Authority site?
4) You said on the thread that one Authority site takes an hour a day to work on. What work would I be doing that hour?

Cheers and I really appreciate all your help

Rossy

Wow Jason,

That is so detailed and helpful advice. If I can't do it myself, I might just buy a site from you. You should be doing a wso too with your knowledge.

How much could I expect to make from one of your sites per month? What would I have to do to maintain the site?

Cheers

A WSO is in the making Glad I could help!

I know it sounds like a typical answer - but the earning potential of Amazon review sites really depends on your market. I don't like to guarantee any sort of minimum earnings due to this. I can give you some example of certain niches and how well some sites perform though if you'd like - although, we can do that through PM as we're starting to get a little off topic here!

In terms of maintenance, you would need to write some more reviews (or you could pay to have them written - although like I said it's a good idea to practice these skills yourself also!) for the site because frequently updated content is important for ranking well in Google. It'd also be no harm to keep up to date with plugin developments and stuff like this so that when a new one which is beneficial is released you'll be right on top of it!

The one thing which I cannot help you with is backlinks. They require some ongoing effort - not that much don't worry - but once you get the hang of them and get off the ground you could easily outsource these to some trustworthy (and you want to be very sure they are actually trustworthy) good quality backlinkers. High quality content on your site will take you a long way in getting ranked well in Google though!

If you'd like to talk a bit more about my services you can PM me - I don't like to hijack threads

If you have any other questions about Amazon I'd be happy to answer them here though!

I can vouch for Wolfmmiii as well. He knows what he's talking about. For a year + (when I started doing SEO) I felt lost. Doing backlinks non stop, and only getting destroyed by the algorithms, the panda, penguin etc. updates. And I just felt completely lost.

I love doing SEO again just by providing content, and creating authority sites. I don't even utilize the google keyword tool. I read, read, and do my research with Amazon, latest trends etc. Everything I do now is a lot more fun just by adding new content constantly and ranking within a MINUTE (not exaggerating) just by researching.

I was getting 0-5 views a day for about 6 months and that was when I was trying to rank hard competitive keywords. (We all know that we don't get a lot of traffic unless we're on the first page). And it was nothing but spinning content, finding high PR links etc. etc. I got burnt out, and it would make me sad that there would be a new algorithm which destroyed my "black hat" strategy and lose my rankings.

Now, after utilizing wolf's strategy for a week and a half, I went from a steady 0-5 unique visitors to 40 visitors a day. And it's ONLY getting better.

My personal website will be up soon....Stay tuned!!

I don't think anyone really in this thread has done anything other than offer sound advice. Amazon affiliation is my business and it's what I'm good at - so I offer help to those who ask. It's productive and constructive to pass on knowledge. I learned through the generosity of folk on this forum so it's only right that I give back.

On the other hand - I don't see what point your post serves other than to insult those who offer advice, insult the original poster and act in a generally unproductive and destructive manner.

It also baffles me that while you complain about this thread, 2 of your 3 last posts have been in threads with the term "amazon gurus" in the title. Either you consider yourself knowledgeable in the area of Amazon affiliation in which case I would say good job for seeking to offer advice, or you are seeking advice about Amazon affiliation in which case I would say - just ask.

There forums are a lot more enjoyable and beneficial when everyone plays nice.

Yup, it can work as well. I personally like building a broach authority niche amazon site, then i build individual product reviews as posts. Interlink, build some high quality links to it, and just add a review daily and you should have a pretty strong site.

Yeah I'll make a brand name like "egadgets" or some sort and focus mainly on a bunch of electronic devices. And if I were to do home improvement I'll make a site like "heavytools" and focus mainly on that.

Well that's one way to get banned.

Anyway ignore this guy. He's posted some @$$ clown comments on my threads too.

Rossy - you don't need to keep buying WSOs to be successful online. Invest in yourself and you will make it. But I would definitely listen to guys like Wolf and Sovereignn. These guys know what they are talking about.

Mike,

Your the biggest loser in here and you talk about me being a 'sucker' but look at you - your the biggest 'Sucker' with the letter F instead of S. Haha it took you years to get your 50 posts and now banned for your sexiest and unreasonable comments.

A Big Thank You to the WF moderators for banning this creature. I can see why he probably hasn't got a girlfriend.

I'm in here to acquire knowledge, to share, to be helped, to help others and comply with all Forum TOS. I was made redundant and I am trying so hard but struggling to make money online. I can see why so many women are put off from starting a thread as there are sh*theads like you about. Who's laughing now! This nasty first sexist incident on the WF will make me stronger to start more threads and succeed in IM.

Btw I can definitely confirm that wolfmmiii, Jasonsc and a few others are true Amazon Gurus. I've checked with other warriors in my circle. These guys are experts, professional and kind gentlemen who know how to talk to a woman. I will definitely will be buying from them after my current project is completed.

I love it! The biggest sign someone is a sucker is when they ask for a "guru". In fact I have a new WSO coming out: How to profit off of retards on Twitter by targeting the phrase "SEO guru".

Btw OP is your avatar you? Wouldbang/10.

Ross,

It's important to do your niche research first before jumping in to any niche. "Finding" a niche is one part of the equation.

The other part is to assess the niche's competitiveness.

Unless you have data on those, it will be impossible to answer the 3 questions that you asked.

I'm being candid with you here as I own several Amazon sites already that is making more than $1500 per month per site.

Hey Wackiin, Thanks for your support. Creatures like that deserved to be banned. I'm in here to make a decent honest living which is very tough and creatures like create negative energy.

I'm gonna carry on posting threads! Cheers for the sub domain tip.

Hey Wolfmmiii,

Your always on my good side. As I said you guys in here are kind, caring, helpful, making a honest living and know how to talk to women. The 1%, Mike unfortunately failed in those categories.

Luckily, I completed my Karate black belt a few months ago in London so could take on creature Mike quite easily. I'm still doing those knuckle press ups and karate routines daily. Karate has made me focused and now I have to apply the same principles to IM.

I really appreciate all your advice and will be in touch.

Cheers

Hey Jason,

Thanks for your help and comments. I am very keen to learn and just want to make a honest living. What creature Mike didn't realize is that there are Amazon gurus like yourself, wolfmmiii and others who are highly successful, have the experience and who are giving back to the forum big time.

I communicate with other WF members and we have complied a list of good Gurus and a list of bad ones to avoid.

Cheers

Hey Smodha,

Your one of the good guys too and appreciate your help. Come up with a value added wso and I'll buy from you. I like your signature quote. Also Gandhi had great respect for women. I too believe in peace but I would love to use my black belt karate skills on that creature Mike.

It is very cruel when people victimize us for working hard and trying to earn a honest decent living.

PS You might want to change your Location: 'Under your bed' as it could be misconstrued.....lol

Cheers

Not that I want to insult anyone, but I had to read this thread just because I was so floored by the headline. The honest Amazon gurus?

Has anyone been billing themselves as a "dishonest Amazon guru?"

Back to the topic: I just browsed Amazon for "bromance" and found one of my own adwords campaigns on the page. Does this strike anyone as a disincentive to post product links as an affiliate, or would it matter for an adwords user?

Great thread Rossy. I have been trying to make money with Amazon for years, and every time I feel like I am on the right track, Panda, Penguin, or some other update named after a black and white animal comes along and crushes my ranking. I am close to throwing in the towel, but am clinging to a small sliver of hope. If anything, this thread is shining some light on some WSOs that look to be legit. If you buy any of them, please let us know your honest opinion of your purchase(s).

P.S. - If that is you in the avatar pic, you look an awful lot like a girl that was one of the Bachelorettes a few years ago (yes...I just outted myself as someone that has watched "The Bachelorette" )

I am absolutely loving this thread.

Rossy I have been amazon marketing for 2 weeks now and my sites are really basic.I am still trying to get them ranked. I paid for 1 on 1 coaching so I will see how it pans out and let you know.

Thanks for amazon gurus by dropping in your links. I had a great time reading.
Rossy dont worry about that Mike guy, he is just a wanderer and wont get anywhere in life.

Right time to make some comissions.

I have been struggling with amazon myself and as I posted countless time I have trouble ranking my sites. I am hesitating in purchasing any WSOs as most of them seem to have rehashed content you can find on the forums... I have followed free advice from people who had success with amazon with no results so far, but I am identify my mistakes and build new sites... With only 10$ per domain you can afford to make some mistakes

Take my advice and experiment on your own; there is not just a single theme that works, different websites may require different approaches.

Do you use webmaster tools to keep track of the indexed pages? My sites are a month old and aren't showing in google.. They are indexed, but jump from infinity to page 8 and then back to infinity lol.

Keep working at it, 10 days is like an hour in Google time...

yeah i use webmaster tools. but they not showing up in google at all for my keyword. i went through 78 pages and that was it. no part of my website found. but if i put the domain in the search then it comes up.

Guess I will just have to backlink more and post more content. I do a fresh post everyday and do 10 backlinks per day for one keyword.
