I am working on a static html site that will be start out with about 36 pages. 10 of the pages are done, the navigation is in place for all pages and all the pages are built but no content except for the 10 that are done. The 10 pages are seo'ed and the others (with no content) have titles, description, keywords & meta tags in place. Will it hurt to publish the site now? It will be about 30 days before the static site is complete, then the blog will be added. Thanks for any insight. Tom |

publish the site right now - get it out asap. when you add on pages the SE's will see this as a good thing, your site is constantly being updated - this is favorable.

Hi Tom, Put up what you have done then add the additional pages as you finish them. I have a small site in a small niche where I did that. I started with three pages got them up to #1 on G, Live Search, and Yahoo. Added 6 more pages as I finished them and the first 3 stayed at #1 and the additional pages made it to the first search pages within a week or so from when I added them. Haven't touched the site in a year and they're all still in the same ranking. |
