Now I know why my adsense earnings have dropped. The one page that gets the most traffic and the most clicks is not getting relevant ads anymore. What could be the problem? I haven't changed anything. There are a ton of advertisers, I somehow don't think that they *all* opted out from advertising on my site... Out of 11 advertisers 3 are relevant!!! The rest are off. I'm not getting totally crazy ads but they are not close enough to get clicked. For instance, if my page is targeting "childrens toys" ads shown are "childrens illnesses" or "dog toys" or childrens items from the local grocery store. What could be causing this, and what can I do? Aaaargh.... There is plenty of content to make this page very focused and targeted. Don't think I could add any more content to make it more relevant. Same goes for keywrods and meta tags. It is not the end of the day or week whatever when the vendors budget has been met. other sites with a lot less targeted content get all the ads I should be getting as well. I'm befuddled. Evita |

Hi Evita, AdSense will update their algorithms from time to time, and when they do they often need to reoptimize your pages' relevant terms. If this is what has happened, then it will improve over the next week or so. I would recommend that you use the AdWords Keyword Tool to check your most important pages and verify that the most relevant terms, in Google's eyes, are the same that you are targeting. If not, you should tweak your content/meta tags or use section targeting to improve your relevancy. |

Hi Don, Thanks! I went through the page with a loupe, and found a word that may have thrown things off. Just checked and now all ads are relevant. Big "Phew!"Funny how I never thought of using the adwords keyword tool for this particular page, especially since I'm ranking/aiming to rank for a high number of keywords on it. Sometimes we just miss the obvious ;-) Evita |

no you should not use adword keyword tool for single page but you should search content relevant keywords and you should use them in meta tags. Meta tags must be 99% relevant to webpage content otherwise you get irrelevant ads on site page. It is different thing that revenue drop your site's page. Once my site's paid me $2.50 each click but next day each click paid me $0.03. This is different method that no one know about it.
