Does anyone know how to add a ad variation using excel and PPC classroom 2 method? They show us how to make a campaign in PPC 2, and say use 2 adds but dont show how to add the 2nd ad variation? |

Basically copy the entire set of rows and columns from the ads sheet (Campaign, Ad Group, Headline, Desc1, Desc2, Display URL, Desination URL) and paste it all directly below the rows and colums you just copied. So you are essentially duplicating the entire ads sheet by duplicating the content. Now with this duplicated set of rows and columns (sitting just below the original set) all you do is change the Headline, Description 1 and Description 2, and thats it, you have a second set of ads. The Campaign, Ad Group, Headline etc all remain the same. What this essentially does is create two ads to be triggered by the same keyword. By having two ads triggered by the same word you can either keep both if they are converting well, or get rid of one that doesn't convert and try another one in its place until you have a set of high converting ads. Hope this all made sense - it seems more complicated when you read it than when you actually do it. |
