Default Does anyone know of a good LSI tool?

Does anyone know of a good LSI tool? The google external adwords tool only gives you details of searches on specified words, I want to find LSI words.

Not sure what you mean, but there is a way to get Google to generate words for you.

1. Start with the search term, and enter the same as always. This will give you a good base to work from.

2. Go to www.google.com and enter the same keyword you just used in step 1.

3. Copy the full URL of the top website (if relevant) in the search return.

4. Go back to the external AdWords Tool, but this time select the radio button that is labeled "Website content".

5. Enter the URL you copied, and check the box that says "Include other pages on my site linked from this URL"

6. Repeating this process for even the first 10 relevant results could get you as many as 500 words, or more.

Are these true LSI keywords? Maybe not all of them, but rest assured there will be plenty to keep you going.

All the best,
Michael

p.s. If you really want to increase the list, then take the keywords listed in the second half of the results in step 1, and repeat the process.

Michael, I have just tried out your method and it is really cool. It works i.e it throws up a lot of LSI type words and it has the added advantage of being free!

Thanks so much for this idea it is much appreciated.

Glad you are finding it useful. It's the same method I use to generate LSI lists for my members.

I was trying to remember who introduced me to this simple, yet effective technique. I believe it was Scot Standke - so let's give credit where credit is due.

Thanks Scot!

I like the many features of Keyword Excavator. KeyWord Excavator - LSI KeyWord Research Software Tool - Free Trial

I've written a review of the product, but wasn't sure if it was cool to post the link in here. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to read my review.

I'm no expert on this, but I distinctly remember watching one of the StomperNet videos where they completely disproved the whole idea of latent semantic indexing.
