Is there a trick to finding dofollow blogs?

Is there a google hack to find blogs that have dofollow in them? Or is there another way to find them without sitting at the computer all day "stumbling upon" them?

Go to google and search for dofollow blog search engines and you will find several that you can search through.

There were 3 or 4 tools that all did this a few months ago. Something called CommentKahuna I think, and then another one that I liked better but forgot the name of . On the plus side the tools were free if I recall correctly.

I believe I may have stumbled upon a method - based on using Angelas world famous WSO. I just went thru the links she sent and noticed an interesting trend.

I have partially confirmed my suspicions of where to find a large concentration of high profile sites that will be applicable, but not sure how to find out if these sites are NoFollow or DoFollow.

Anyone who is in the know ... may want to PM me and maybe we can JV a little WSO together - like a $27 doo dad ...

Ive already viewed over 100 high profile co's that are likely targets all centrally located / linked and identified on ONE site. and Thats just scratching the surface ... Now I just need to know how to determine how many of them are dofollow. Based on what Ive seen on other sites - they ALL might be :-)

It's really easy actually.

Use Firefox and their NoDoFollow add-on. You can turn it on and off from your "tools". When it's on, all links that are do follow will be highlighted in blue and all links that are no follow will be highlighted in red.

I use it everyday.

I also use the free version on g-lock software which helps me locate dofollow blogs (obviously the free version is limited - but it's a nice start)...

Thanks for the recommendation, but note: the blog may be DoFollow but the Major problem I've been noticing on this and others is that comment sections are most always NoFollow - which defeats the whole purpose.

That is a very good point which is why you must still use the Firefox add-on to double check.

What I do is find a blog with good PR...if you use the SEO Quake add-on you can get the PR (and other stuff) without leaving the search engine page. Then I quickly scan for a post that already has comments to make sure the name (or links in the comments) are DoFollow. I also quickly scan the comments to see what type of comment and comment name has been accepted. If there are keywordy comment names that are also do follow then I make a relavent post and move on...

Ok folks...

Ive been to about ten of the sites and they all use the same "system".

Ive done a rough count of the links to the "systems" on high profile household name co's sites where you can create these blogs ... right around 200 of them ...

If you subscribed to Angela's link WSO - you know some of the sites and the way to make this rock. The best one is where you register and the site lets you create YOUR OWN blog - or profile. Then you get to create your own BLOGROLL on your little mini blog inside their high PR sites.

Its all do follow too :-) Just follow the sig ... 100's of backlinks await you

I can understand your enthusiasm, but wouldn't be simpler just to use the domains and methodology that Angela provides? Then you can spend your time actually making use of what she describes.

Even with the material received from Angela - which already saves hours of research time - it still needs to be put into action. Angela described how she found these sites in a WSO I got from her early June 08. One of the most common observations at the time was that it sounded great but involved a lot of work finding them and checking 'dofollows'.

Since August 08 she's provided a subscription service identifying the domains and how to use them for back links. This is a big help to those who subscribe but they still have to follow through and establish the back link. Do you find it worthwhile to also do the research?

It's tough to find the right resources. Always confirm the sites are actually dofollow with the NoDoFollow firefox plugin.

How do use this site?

CommentHunt is basically a dofollow search engine. I use it with the SEO Quake add-on for Firefox...so I simply type in a search term in CommentHunt and on the results page the SEO Quake info lets you know the PR of each site (so you don't have to go to the site to find out)...you can then sort by PR rank. I then go to the highest PR sites first. HOWEVER, as others have stated you must also double check that the sites and the comment names are do follow...to do this I use the NoDoFollow add-on for Firefox.

I totally vouch for Angela's backlink package. I was Angela's subscriber for a very long time but started implementing only in Nov 08 and immediately noticed my links climbing in the SERP's.

After noticing the effectiveness, I also started providing this service on a case-by-case basis, and judging by the demand, it's clear that most people prefer to get this time consuming job done by someone else.

If you take the time do it, you will definitely notice the difference.

First of all go to google.

Type in 'site:.edu "your niche here" + blog"

If you are trying to find authority blogs. They can pretty much be commented.

You can also search for .com .gov or whatever.

Example: "site:.gov weight loss blog".

That's gonna generate a list of edu weight loss blogs.

There are lots of do follow blog directories you can check out but most of these switch to nofollow shortly after they are submitted. You are better off having guest blog posts that are permanent which are more engaging.

You can use the above tool and enter a niche which you are interested in. It will return a list of dofollow blogs in your niche. You have to sort through the results. But you can likely find many PR 3, 4, 5 blogs. With the Google Toolbar or SEO Quake you can check the PR. And like mentioned above, if you use the Firefox NODOFOLLOW plugin it will color-code the links for you.

I have a dofollow search system built in my site that I use and my members use. It gives PR, Compete.com Stats, and the ability for you to save them as favorites on your own personal favorites page. It only shows dofollow on the results, so no visiting this url and that url to find out if it really is dofollow.

Do your search, click on the ones you want to save, then you have a list you can always go back to.

There are a lot of directories of dofollow blogs but none of them gives an accurate result... The best thing to do is to install searchstatus firefox plugins and rung through these lists so that you can make sure if the bog is dofollow or not...

I was offering a blog commenting service before on dofollow blogs but I totally gave up due to many reasons... most bloggers does not update their blogs on time... other's are just racists..

I agree with this ... the ones Im using also have some very very cool features on them.

1. Add your money sites RSS feed[s] - as in plural incoming feeds to the community sites - sweet no? Thats means I just pumped my money sites blog RSS Feed to 300 social media sites - ponder that for a moment

2. Upload your short videos - and get a full html blog like interface to insert full anchor text kwywords and links

3. Do the same with images :-)

Done right - many social networking and media sites will yield 30 backlinks per visit!!! Got some deep links or many niches to hit? Social Media and Community sites can be a goldmine - they are for me.

They are out there by the truckload if you know how to look

there is no trick basically, you use some sort of software to do it for you but I don't get "backlinks" from blogs as the are communication channels from a real blog owner for potential JVs, ad swap whatever. How much link juice can pass if there are already 100 sites try to get a link from. Think about it... I do think this kind of link building shall stop
