My website has a large article archive consisting of many topics ranging from general interest (exercise, weight loss, yoga) to specialized niches (alternative medicine, Acupuncture, dream interpretation). I have read alot about how people have used socialmarker.com to drive traffic and am planning on having my outsourced team submitting each article in each topic using it. Has anyone tried a strategy like this before? Is it a waste of time? If not, should i start with the general interest categories or niche topics? |

There's a site , Rent-a-Poster.com where you can post this type of work. Social marketing, cookie stuffing, seo, etc.. Hope this helps |

I think you may benefit from splitting your collection of articles onto sharper niches. If i am looking for 'dream interpretation' and finding 'weight loss' mixed all together on the same plate - my trust level goes down and i keep searching elsewhere. From the other site I see niche owners who consistently prosper by attracting a passionate following toward their interests. It is possible to be "everything to everyone" (about.com, wikipedia.org) but takes infinite effort and time to get there. |

I think it all depends on how you have your content laid out. If it's a jumbled mess where you go from one topic on day to another the next then I definitely agree with MemberWing; you should split up your content into more relevant niches and you'll see a greater return in loyal visitors and ad revenue. On the flip side if it meshes well together and you're seeing good enough results as it is I don't see how doing some social bookmarking could do you wrong.
