I'm not exactly sure of the spelling, but the thread title translated into
English means...

"Man plans and God laughs at our plans."

Today we found out about 2 big changes on the Internet that greatly
affect our site rankings using certain things.

How many of us have sat to high and mighty on our "make money online"
throne thinking we've got it all figured out right up until the point where
Digg or Google or EZA or somebody else pulled the rug out from under us.

The MFA site owners (made for Adsense) thought they had the world by
their toes not too many years ago.

Point is, never, and I mean NEVER think that you're so smart, that you're
so far ahead of the game, that you can just sit back and keep doing
what you're doing.

You need to constantly monitor everything you do. You have to have
contingency plans in place just in case something goes south on you.

One day...all the articles that I have out there may very well become
worthless.

Who's to say it's not possible?

Let the events of the last couple of days be a reminder that we don't
always have it all figured out.

We are NOT invincible.

Which is why it is important to build a real business on real business policies, and always know that you are in control not any third party.

Too many people spend hours upon hours building someone else's business, and what thanks do they get when the rug is pulled from under them?

I have seen people who only build using article marketing, and if that stops working they have nothing left.

Others only have an income from the WSO forum, and if Allen was to close it then they will have nothing left. Just look at how long people are bumping the same WSO and try and find the product being sold elsewhere, and you will find it isn't there.

Others are selling purely on twitter or facebook, again what happens when that is another area which is stopped as being a marketplace.

If people build a business to last, then they will survive anything that other sites throw at them.

What 2 things are you talking about man?

I'll tell ya about 8 of my sites are acting strange as heck in the ol' search results.

You have to have
contingency plans in place just in case something goes south on you.

Too true, and one of the reasons I'm building a list faster so I don't always have to rely on other forms of traffic

Thankfully, neither of these have much of an impact on me.. but I am assuming Steve is referring to:

2. No more promoting Amazon affiliate products by pay per click

Hey Steven,

excellent post. so many times you see people putting all of their eggs in one basket.

This is especially true in the WSO forum. Most of the people you see reposting WSO after WSO do so because they cannot make money by doing anything else.

Unfortunately it is very sad, but true.

So, if you have all of your eggs in one basket make sure that you start to spread those eggs out.

It is good to tap a resource for as much as you can. But, while you are tapping that resource you need to start working on different streams of income.

Do not get stuck in one stream of income.

That is when you are in trouble.

Unfortunately, most of us take the easy road and once we find an income source we just stay there.

Then, when someone moves our cheese we get all confused.

Only as examples, of which article writing was also used as an example as
well.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. It isn't important enough to get worked up over.

As long as people get the message. And yes, your response was dead on
correct.

Too many people have business models (if you can call them that) built on
a house of cards.
