Default Is getting a link from a PR0 site worth the time and effort?

I saw this article directory with a PR0 that allows anchor text. Is it worth submitting to?

YES - it's all about what a site will do in the future as it builds internal pagerank

OF course yes, can add your link popularity, also can bring more traffic to your sites.

Definitely. What is a PR0 today, could become a PR5-6-7 down the road.

I agree with everyone else saying it could be a much higher link down the road.

HOWEVER - I wouldn't spend all my time only looking for pr0 links , more so if they're nofollow. If they are do-follow , a few hundred from one source can be quite useful.

The best way to find links PR0 to PR8 is to reverse engineer the site that sits at the #1 position on Google for your key word. Then use that as a blue print to find/build links

There are many benefits of getting links from PR 0. As in the beginning stage this is really easy to get them and as the site grow and getting reputation in the eyes of Google. your link weight will also increase.

One thing you should consider is relevancy between your site and other site.

You don't say how your own site is ranked. If your site is new you may find you need to link with some equally low ranked sites. Nothing at all wrong with it - just choose sites with content related to your site's content and that appear to be well done sites.

In a year or two you might find those same PR0 sites you linked to are now high ranked sites. Linking is perhaps the only time that PR helps you.

Personall, reverse engineer is the best known technique for finding out links of PRO to PRB. Wat say members? As a site increases in link popularity, so inbound link popularity increases 2.!

Here's the deal: Google looks for natural linking patterns. Why wouldn't you have PR0 sites linking to you?

It isn't "natural" to have only PR4+ sites linking to you.

It isn't natural to have tons of .edu sites linking to you.

You want to mix it up. In reality, you probably want 30-50 "average" links for every one good link. This is what a natural linking pattern would look like, as there is a lot more PR0 and PR1 pages than PR5 .edu page.

Hi StevenSaliba,

The PR of a page that links to you isn't all that important. What really matters is whether that page has quality relevant traffic. You may see PR0 rank on the first page of SERP, even in the top position sometimes, for keywords relevant for your webpage. These links will bring your targeted traffic, which is usually the reason you seek links in the first place.

If a page has a higher PR, but no meaningful traffic, how could it be of any value to you? PR without relevant traffic isn't worth much. The Search Engine algorithms are smart enough to pick up on this important aspect and will rank your page in the SERP based on relevant links, not PR.

If the Search Engines are smart enough to recognize the importance of a PR0 page and put it at the top of the SERP, then it naturally follows that they are smart enough to pass the importance of a link from that page to your backlink.

It is not a good option to get your site listed even on a PR0 page. As right mentioned in the comments, PR0 can well turn into PR1-6 in future so it is good to have your site listed.

It doesn't take time and effort to get PR0 links and its definetly worth it! as it helps you in the Google white list Otherwise you may look suspicious if you only have backlinks from high PR sites!!

Considering it is an article directory, have a look at the submissions it allows. Is it in your niche? Do they just accept any rubbish? Take things into account, if the site looks good and is accepting quality stuff, why not?

The only time I would say no to something like this is if the site quality was bad, or it was a spam site!
