Default I have a question about blog commenting.

When I find a worthy blog that is in the niche I'm in...

And I find that it's do follow for commenting..

And I see that the pr of the page that the comment will go on (using SEO quake) is listed as (PR: n/a) does this mean that it's worthless to post on?

Good Question

Just follow the following Instruction to comment
1. Latest Blog Post
2. It may be dofollow/nofollow
3. Post should be cached in search engine
4. Less OBL
5. Don't add Anchor text in blog comment
6. Social media engagement for that post
7. Don't consider post page's PR. Your post domain should have PR.

Hi,

Normally, its take few weeks or month for PR update. If the post is new, we can't expect PR on new post, because it will take at-least one or two PR updates. If the post is relevant to you in you can post your comment on it.

PR is assigned to pages not websites. If homepage has PR 4 this does not mean internal pages also have PR 4.
Second thing, don’t run after PR... If the page on which you are commenting doesn’t have good Pr but good traffic.. go for it. After all, its traffic with which you concerned the most.

It is not necessary Pr must be high if it is high that's good for us but if we talk to new post, it will take some time. You can comment it freely it is in your niche, this is your plus point so you can get direct traffic also from this.

For quality purpose we need to post on high pr blog comment sites. It could be do-follow or no-follow.

Actually the relevancy will count more than you think regardless of n/a PR's and also like many others have said, if the blog article is good and others are reading, linking and commenting then the PR may update in the future. Definitely worth using.

Definitely NOT worthless.

1. It's a niche blog. This has the potential to drive some traffic to your site.

2. DoFollow blogs are generally pretty hard to find.

3. A PR N/A post can eventually reach PR1, PR2, PR3, etc.

Don't consider post page's PR & dofollow / nofollow, just post comment

I am unable to understand, how will others know about the traffic of particular page, if that website managed by other person.

PR n/a is equivalent to PR0. Base on what you said, the blog is relevant to your niche. So when you post a comment there it will give value to your site. Every comment to a blog that is related to you niche is important whether it is PR0 or PR5.

According to me you can go with that blog, as its relevant to your niche. Relevancy plays a vital role in organic ranking rather than PR.

This is pretty shortsighted.

First, PR is nice, but I've commented on plenty of posts without it. Remember, every page has started out at PR N/A. You may eventually be one of the few comments on a PR N/A posts that turns into PR1, PR2, PR3, etc.

Second, you can absolutely comment on posts that don't have any other comments. I'm not sure why you'd think otherwise.

Nice explanation.... I don't think it is important that all the pages should have a PR. A page with Pr-0 can also provide you value, if it is niche related and popular.

Many will argue that it is, but my experience has taught me that it's not if the PR of the parent domain is high (PR5+).

NA is assigned to pages which receive almost 0 traffic from search engines or any other source. I've noticed several oldest posts with NA PR on my blog which receive no traffic at all. So it means that Google bot doesn't crawl any post/page with NA PR. We can consider any backlinks from such sources as completely worthless. If Google doesn't index your link, then how can you expect that it will boost ranking. If the post is brand new, go for it, brand new posts are also assigned NA PR. If the post is older than previous PR update, then don't go for it.

Good question..
Ok. Let me explain about this.

first one is the post's blog owner(blogger) won't approve your comment.
The second is it wont be a natural blog comment.
The Third is we shouldn't use anchor texts in Blog comments as per penguin rule.

I think you got my point. Every seo should be natural.. It helps you to get good authority and ranking.

It isn't necessary to comment on do-follow blogs, u should create some no-follow as well just to balance out. Google considers it spam if u only create do-follow link and most importantly no-follow links can give u some referral traffic, if ur comment is relevant to the topic.

1 - I get plenty of comments approved using a variation of a name & anchor text. "Ron From Gardening Supplies," for example.

2 - A blog comment is "natural" if you do it yourself without the help of an automated tool and relates to the post itself. (And is something that you'd approve on YOUR own blog.)

3 - It's perfectly fine to use anchor text on blog comments or any other type of link. It's just a matter of not going overboard and using it 100% of the time.
