Yahoo Content Amazing How Do I Continue?

I've been running a CPA offer in yahoo ppc lately and slowly over the past few days I've been getting more and more impressions in my content campaign.

However, today, for about 5 hours I got an insane amount of traffic that converted like crazy.... about 1 million impressions and over 1,000 clicks.

Me being the greedy #@!@ that I am, I went in and adjusted my bid by 3 cents to see if I could get a higher position.... it kept running for another 3 hours then suddenly, no more content traffic.

My impressions kept coming, but now I just was not getting the clicks.

I do have an RSS feed on my site, could the RSS feed caused the sites that were displaying my ad to stop or is this common?

I really want to know why some campaigns get consitent content traffic, while this one spiked for ONLY 4 hours then shut off.

It's like they want to tease you and give you a taste of what could happen... this is the 3rd time I've had this happen not just in yahoo, but msn and Google as well.... it's very frustrating.

Any explanation?

I've had the same happen and I won't mention with whom, but yeah it's like "woohoo" and then "wtf?"

this happens with both yahoo and msn, and I think most likely it has to do with traffic from the main portal in each case. Meaning they might have a link up on the home page for one day or 1/2 day that goes to a page with your ad on it deeper in the site.

Forgot to add, that I agree that this is extremely frustrating. I tend to see 100-200% ROI when I get those traffic spikes.

It still does not make any sense to me because the impressions are still the same. Today at noon I am already at close to a million impressions in the Yahoo content network, yet only 6 clicks?????

Yesterday I did 700k impressions with well over 1k clicks. I am sitting here puzzled trying to figure out what I need to do to get that massive ROI back or at least more than 6 of the 1 million impressions clicking on my ad.
