I have a number of Wordpress blogs where people frequently comment. Can anyone tell me if allowing pingbacks takes anything away from my rankings? Any info on whether it is good, bad, or indifferent? I'd appreciate opinions - thanks! Paula |

Not at all... as long as you have the "nofollow" features active for all the external links from the comment areas. If you're not... You should get a plugin for it... |

If your site is using wordpress, usually it is nofollow as default. If you are still curious as to if you have triggered something to remove the nofollow codes, just right click your mouse on your site's homepage and click view source>> Ctrl F>> and type in nofollow. Keep clicking next until you see a nofollow code near the comment zone, and if you don't spot it, that means your site doesn't have the nofollow tag and is considered dofollow.
