Default Reciprocal Linking Still Works (better with blogs)

I replied to a thread about reciprocal linking (you know, the old "I link to you, you link to me") yesterday, and my reply was that although I don't use them anymore, I still get top rankings for my sites.

And as another poster said, you need to have links from many different sources.

However, I like another (more effective) type of reciprocal linking.

Here it is:

I'll write this in step by step to make it easier

1. You need to have a blog with great content

2. Contact other bloggers in your niche
(it's easy, just register at mybloglog, blogcatalog, etc... or you can also find them on Google)

3. Tell them that you want to write a blog post for them in exchange for their blog post with a link towards your site.

Be creative.

4. Another way is to start writing a review of other blogs in your niche.

This is a good way to get links.

uhm... I think what you wrote is just a further elaboration the ways to do reciprocal linking and not an advice how to improve more...

Just do it, it works.

I've made plenty of sales doing this alone. When you choose high traffic blogs in your niche, you should get good results.

Reciprocal links are still useful but they are just not as time effective now as other link generation methods and should only be a small part of your SEO strategy.
