Need some help in seo

Hey guys!

I have a question regarding optimizing websites.

How do you rank homepages if you can't add optimized content to it? Do you just build backlinks with specific keywords as anchor text to rank it for that keyword?

For example I have this website with a blog part but it is located on a different page. I want to rank my homepage for specific keywords and give it a better ranking in different search engines.

I think the same applies to one page sites, but I really don't get how to optimize that part of the site.

Hope someone can clarify this for me

You can fetch some natural links(to home page by keyword) by creating few good articles & submitting them to article site.

As you said you have blog section inside your site, then try building internal links through that content & point to home page.

Do social bookmarking.


Things will improve over the time.

So by submitting articles to article directories I can get a better rank for my hompage?

Your home page will surely have at least 3 keywords.
So, through articles & blogs try getting backlinks for home page with those keywords.

I would suggest to Optimize the page. It would help a lot for ranking and will reduce your work of getting backlinks.

I ranked some of my homepages with High pr edu blog backlinks alone. Works like a charm for me

You have to optimize every page, whether it is blog, article, product, category for better result, the more content your site would have the more authority it would look and you would get the benefit accordingly.

If you are going to rank your homepage for "less competive" keywords, then you can rank it without building much backlinks. I said "much", it means that you still need a good number of quality links from external sources.
