Hey guys I need your quick advise. i have the option of using a free Whois Guard with Namecheap. Should I enable or disable this feature? Will this affect my google rankings? Thanks in advance.. Mark S |

Since it's free, why don't you use it? We have to pay for that on godaddy ![]() But it depends on what type of sites you build. If you want someone to contact you, then do not use it. For the ranking, You will not have any problem with that. There are so many protected whois domain ranks for good keywords |

It doesn't have a dramatic effect against your favor, though, I do believe it's apart of Google's trust factor. More transparent you are, the more likely they'll treat your site more seriously. But they are aware of people doing this for a reason, hence why you're not affected as much as one would think. ![]() All of my sites have domain name privacy at 1and1.com |
