I just signed on with Hostgator, as so many people on this Forum seem to like it. So not familiar with the add-on domain thing.
My add-on domains/websites are completely different than the main domain and since the complete url that Hostgator uses is: www.addondomain.maindomain.com my question is does that affect SEO ranking for the add on domain? I specifically chose my add on domains to be the exact word that would be search for, nothing else in the domain. I know the user doesn't see the www.addondomain.maindomain.com. but sees www.addondomain.com Does anyone know for sure if it affects search results? I found this article on it, but am posting here, as I just wanted to hear some expert warriors opinions. SEO Addon Domains / Subdomains Thanks anyone! Karuna |
