Yeah Adsense does take time and patience, the rules in theory are pretty simple, keep building original content and getting backlinks, and you will reap the rewards, in practice though for many people their patience threhold ends when they see cents a year in earnings

Well, back last November I was being questioned by Blogger that my Blog could be considered spam. Although it is definitely not I didnt want to take a chance so I went ahead and exported to Wordpress. As a result my Adsense sunk to just about $100 per month. After many months of these low earnings , I am consistently back over $200 and this month I am set to break $300 and possibly reach $400 !

So it was just a mild stumbling block with the transfer from Blogger to WP. But no big deal it is just part of the business !!

Way to go! I remember when I first passed the payment threshold. Keep setting improved goals. When you find what works, don't entirely disregard new ideas, but also remember to stick with what you've proven does the job well.

I don't know what niche you're in, but a couple of my sites used to have adsense earning 25 bucks a month. I decided to put up my own product and sell and guess what? One earns about $500/mo and the other around $300/mo. Adsense is great and all, but sometimes selling your own product can be better. That depends on the niche of course.

Congratulations Discrat . Your thread is quite motivating for many including me . I have stuck to a blog from last 3-4 months and it seems that I have started to get decent traffic of around 50 visitors per day, though I don't get more than 1-2 click a month , My blog has managed to earn 5$ till date with adsense and I am sure that one day I will also reach the 100$ mark to get my first cheque . Just waiting for the day when I reach 500$ per month mark and that is a income of a middle class Indian here in India .

Now the only advice I would have would be to concentrate on generating more revenue from the existing website (other than adsense!)

Affiliate marketing can provide a lot more money if you do it correctly. Although it obviously depends on the type of website that you have.

Yeah, wow I took a spiral downward. Every since Nov. 2010 when I moved over to WP my Adsense declined. And then on October 14th 2011 my Sites got slapped by Google and my Adsense declined below $100 per month !! But these last two months I am back over $100.

So as a result I am right back to where I was with Adsense when I started this Thread nearly 3 years ago. lol

Anyway, Im glad to have also got CPA offers on other sites and built some small lists too to make up some of the lost income. And also have some GPT sites Iam a part of that do good..

So words of wisdom do NOT just depend on Adsense and build that list. DIVERSIFY !!!!

I would agree with what you said about diversifying income. As I was reading through this thread I thought to myself what happens if Google bans your adsense account or blocks your site like it has happened to so many others.

One thing that is really impressive discrat is that fact that you have been motivated for 3 years now even with all the obstacles, and still keep on keeping on lol

That's terrible that you took such a big hit with your adsense income. However, I don't understand why your adsense went down when you migrated away from Blogger. Is it because your site dropped in rankings, or is it because the WP site you setup doesn't get as good of a CTR than your others?

I like Adsense it takes time to get the results but it's predictable. I mean some days
you have low earnings but others make up for it.

The best part it's consistant. Everyday you gonna make something regardless.

hey congrats brotha....!!! Yeah I can remember the first sale I made and how excited I got. Adsense is a tricky beast to make a full time income..but can be done. Now that you have the formula for making money w adsense...you just need to make more sites and continue and build more and make more money. Good job!

Keep up the good work! Last year I made $28 in January. This year I am going to clear $600. Still small potatoes compared to many on WF but I am very proud of this achievement. The key is just to stick with it and keep cranking out sites. You never know what will pop until you try.
