Finally, I Broke the $100 Threshold for Adsense in a Month...Heck Yeah !!!!

Yep, it took me about 11 months to do it. And that was with a lot of hard work but I managed to finally break the $100 threshold for the Month for Adense Earnings.

I know for many of you its no big deal since you make that in a day.
But personally, I have been working for this and I wasnt sure this day would ever come. Its like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders

At the beginning of the year it was taking me 3 months to hit the $100 threshold. and then it was 2 months and now one month.

For those of you who are having trouble with Adsense and it seems hopeless , you need to take heed. Because I can remember back in August I was thrilled when I hit a measley $7 for the month. But I kept at it and kept building more backlinks and writng more original content to my Blog and then Pinging it.

So you just need to keep on keeping on and eventually with work and diligence you will start getting ranked for some decent keywords ! And you will then see those Adsense Earnings start to rise.

Hey, GOOD JOB! Seriously, you're ahead of the vast majority of Adsense publishers now. Now, don't rest on your laurels. See if you can get to $200 per month in the next few months. Your site has aged nicely, which is a big key for rankings at Google. It's tough to get anything going in the rankings there when a site is only a few months old. But now you're sitting pretty.

Here's what I would recommend...

1. Keep building backlinks slowly but surely. Always use good anchor text and vary it up a bit between a few of your better keywords, so it appears more natural to Google.

2. Since it's a blog, keyword research is going to be key to more traffic and Adsense bucks. I highly recommend investing in a good keyword research tool to build a list for your niche. You're looking for keyword phrases that get a decent number of searches every month (I shoot for 600 or more). Then you'll want to make sure you're not competing against a ton of other people who are also targeting that phrase. Search for the phrase in question using quotes around it. This will tell you how many pages are indexed at Google with that exact phrase (not just the words in any order) on them. This is your "true" competition. If that number is under about 10,000, you're in business. 10,000 is my own personal cut-off, but it isn't a hard-and-fast rule, ok? I just know that it's feasible to get a good ranking if the competition is around that number or lower.

$1000 per month is really achievable (even if it doesn't sound it right now) and I know you can get to this point. So stick at it and well done!

Yeah, I have 7 Blogs. But 90% of this is from 2 Blogs.

Interesting enough they were both created and Indexed around the first of April 08'. And almost to the week , Google started to give me juice and Rank me first Page on Keyterms that I thought would take a couple of years to get first page.

Now this is speculation on my part but I have heard that Google will start to give you more Authority right around the first Anniversary of your Blog/Website if you have continually kept it updated with fresh, original Articles.
Its like Google is waiting to see if you stick it out and grants you Authority once they realize you are not some spammy short term site.

Like I said that is pure specualtion based on heresay.

Anyway, out of these two Blogs one is Work at home/ make money online and the other is health related.

I know my first three Checks from Google Adsense I did not spend it on Mortgage, Food, Movies, Wife etc... I put it right back into the Business. Just this last month I invested part of Adsense Earnings into Outsourcing some Articles for new Niches I am pursuing.

So guess what I will be doing with April's Check ??

I would tend to disagree with this. I know I was making Earnings even when I had 4 or 5 Visitors a day and sometimes less.

Good thing about Adsense is that you can start Earning even with a small amount of Traffic.

Just an Update : Well, yesterday I broke the $200 Barrier !!
So it took me 2 months and 24 days to get from the $100 Barrier to the $200 Barrier in Adsense.'

And we still have 6 more days left in July !!

I havent done anything special. Heres my weekly regimen for buildng my business:

1.I use Angelas Backlnk Service since March. I post to 3 of her High PR Sites per week. ($5 month)
2. I pay for an SEO Service that provides a certain amount of Backlinks a month per URL to diferent Blogs. ( $27 month)
3.I write one Ezine Article, one Goarticle, and one Lense at Squidoo per week. ($0 month)
4.I post unique, original content to all my Blogs once per week. ($0 month)


Anyway Thats it ! About 5 hours work a week which is all I can crank out now with a young infant and being a stay at home dad. Oh BTW, you dont have to have massive amounts of Backlinks every month. I average about 20 to 25!! Think Quality over Quantity !

Also, I am starting to outsource most of my Articles for my Blogs. And it will even make my business that much more efficient.

Total Earnings for this month of July will be just over $400. That includes my Pay Per Lead Affiliate Programs on my Blogs which are kicking into gear and Adsense. This time last year for July 08 total Earnings was $7 with $3.99 in Adsense !!

Like I said it took me about a year of work to start seeing some results. Now everything is growing exponentially !!

You guys just dont give up. I sure didnt even though many times I felt like it. The longer you stay in the game the more valuable your IM efforts will become.

Incidentally , today was somewhat of a Milestone for me.
I hit the $20 threshold for the Day. I have been awful dang close on many occassions. Write around $18 or so.

But thought I would just NEVER get that $20 for the day. It has been so elusive for me.

And we have 5 more hours out here in the West so maybe I will hit $25 or $30 !! .

Anyway, I hope this provides a little inspiration for those who think you cant win with adsense. You can it just takes some time. I remember last September 08' I was celebrating when I broke $10 for the month.

Broke the $300 barrier today for the Month of March. First time ever. And we still got 3 more days !!

Wow, when I first started this Thread it was last April. I broke $100 for the first time then for that month. After this it took me another 3 months to break $200 for the Month.

I thought $300 would have come alot sooner than this, but I aint complaining. Slow and steady is my motto !!

It has been a long road, sometimes very lonely and sometimes very frustrating. But its been so worth it.

Right now I am doing a few SEO Services . I put in 3 to 5 hours a week work. Thats ALL I can with a 1 year old and 6 week old to take care of.

The Key is to be consistent with your allocated work time, week in and week out. If you can only do 4 hours week then do it every week for years and years.

You will find Success just dont give up.

P.S. Also broke $30 for a day a couple weeks ago for the first time.

1. Using YieldBuild. Although I might have got the same result putting my ads in better places to start with .

2. I've glued analytics to my adsense so now I know exactly what is making cash, so I just need to churn out more of it.

I should now get a check every month, yippee!

Yeah, I am starting to scale things up. ALL this income is on Free Blogger Blogs (with my own self -hosted Domains of course) . And just two weeks ago I started migrating by opening up a Hostgator Account and installing Wordpress. I have already built 2 Sites.

I dont know why I have resisted WP for 2 years now , but I felt like to really be and feel like a professional I had to start looking like one. And Wordpress gives me that.

I will still keep a few Blogger Blogs because it works good for a few of my Niche Blogs. But for my Authority, Affiliate Blogs I am going Wordpress all the way.

BTW, there is no get rich quick in Blogging. 99% of people who make any money in it, make it because they stuck with it over time. And were passionate about it and consistent with it.

I gotta admit I thought all this would come faster but I am happy with the slow but steady progress. Its a marathon not a sprint , folks !!
