googlebot visited but my site is not indexed

hi warriors,

after digging my website, I discovered from my hostgator report that googlebot visited my site but I am surprised that the bot did nto index any of my pages. what do you think went wrong and what can i do to rectify the situation? In other words, what can i do to get the site indexed since the googlebot visited 4 days ago.

Hi happyguy,

Create a Google Webmaster Tools accont and verify yor site. You will see a diagnostic report there.

Create a sitemap or manually submit your link to their search engines to assure that you might get crawled. Getting backlinks will help boost the process.

Get some backlinks to your site. You have 55 posts on this forum...if you haven't already, why not add your site to your sig, Google will soon pick it up.

Is that not pretty common?

Keep your patience, and kep doing what the others asked you to do then - add backlinks.

Google Bot will keep visiting a number of times to any site, and that is no way a guarantee of an index. I had seen that with my first website (now PR-5) and am seeing that with my second site (yet to index as per Google Webmasters, and a number of crawls done already).

I am rather confident that if I stick to the basics my second site will also get indexed and eventually end up with a good PR.

So, no reason that would not happen to you too!

Do what Albert says here. Every time I submit my sitemap, Google comes to my site in about an hour and starts indexing my pages. Very, very fast.

You can use these commands to see if googlebot has been on your site and to see if it's been indexed:

Code:

cache:warrierforumdotcom

Obviously substitute warriorforumdotcom with your own domain.
