I have a PPC campaign in Yahoo Search Marketing which direct links to a Clickbank product sales page. I was using Prosper 202 for tracking. I made 3 sales from 1000 clicks (1 sale per 333 clicks) which put me just below break even so I was trying to find the keywords that were converting. The problem was that Prosper 202 was tracking my clicks by keywords but not my conversions. So I stopped using it and I set up several ad groups with 1 to 5 keywords in each (all the same keywords I was using before). I direct linked each ad group to the product sales page using my Clickbank hoplink and a different tracking ID for each ad group. Since I went from using Prosper 202 to Clickbank tracking IDs there have been 800 more clicks with NO sales. My CTR for each ad group ranges from 4% to 15% and all quality scores are good. I am using the same keywords as before. The only difference is that my affiliate links are not cloaked. Is this a result of commission theft or am I missing something? Is it time to just ditch this campaign all together? |
