Hey Warriors, I did a search on past threads to find related posts on domain age checker but found none. Anybody has experience with the domain age tools you find on the internet how to check domain age - Google Search How reliable are they and what's the most accurate way to determine the age of a domain name? Thanks Joel |

All domain age tools are pretty much the same, and reliable. You can also check the history of a domain at archive.org.

Have you tried Betterwhois.com? If you want to see how the site looked in the past, in case it's changed hands, use Wayback machine as Gene says at Archive.org

Thanks guys. I settled with whois.com which shows the actual date domain was purchased and date of expiry. It's more clear cut in this manner.

Hi, I have a question about domain age. I noticed that if you check a domains age on way back machine & it says e.g. 9 years, then if you register it & check it again it now says 'unable to determine'. Does this mean that if you sell the domain you can no longer say that it is 9 years old? It seems that the age resets once it has been re-registered. Thanks. |

I think the most accurate tool for checking the domain age would be whois.domaintools.com
