When I was doing a lot of PPC, I had "standing orders" to my two employees: in the course of whatever they're doing online, whenever they came across a Google SERPS page with 2 or less ads, post the keyword or search query on a whiteboard we had. Within a day, I'd check the search query to see if a) there was much search volume, and b) if I could 'fit' an affiliate product to it. Every now and then we'd come across gold - a keyword phrase with good search volume, a good fit for an affiliate product, that was seemingly being overlooked. Possibly at a very low CPC. Whenever a search query showed zero ads, it was looked at immediately. Not every one fits, or has a reasonable search volume, but often this means an opportunity for very cheap clicks with no competition. Being busy with other online endeavors, I don't do much of that anymore. However, I happened to search on "amazon mechanical turk". Wordtracker shows appx. 50 searches per day, and there are no ads. The rest is up to you... Mark |
